Cute story, awful female narrator

We’ve heard this royal tale before but the author’s writing makes it fresh and enjoyable at times. The female character is a hard sell, and the narrator’s robotic AI voice doesn’t help. She narrates steamy intimate scenes with the same lack of intonation as she describes blueberry scones. It was painful listening to her at times.

Predictable but satisfying

This book hits just about every trope you could want. Manic pixie dream girl? check! Billionaire crowned Prince? check! forbidden love? check! a cad of a brother and a fiancé who is supportive and wonderful? check. You know how this book is gonna end before you start reading chapter 2, and it’s part of its charm.

Has quite a bit!

For Xander and Willa their lives were not destined to be together. However, in true fashion, love comes through eventually.

The female voice

Was a good story. The female voice that was a little monotone, though. Kind of hard to listen to her at times.

So sweet it gave me toothache...

I thought I'd give this a chance but it was so predictable. Where is the wounded and bruised prince with a side dish of anti-hero? Can't stand the female narrator's voice. The only thing remotely interesting of this entire book was that fmc was erotic writer. I skipped ½ this book and still knew what was going on.
It's a hard no from me.
