Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 Alesso💘Serena!

Siobhan Davis pens another amazing novel set in her Mazzone Mafia world, the third and final book of the series. I have been loving this series, the mafia world she created and world building is phenomenal. The characters are easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about too. This book is Serena and Alessandro’s story, Serena’s father forced her into an arranged marriage with one of his mafia cronies, Alfredo, an evil man twice her age who made her life a living nightmare. Both her father and her husband are gone, and she moved with her sister, Sierra and her husband Bennett to Greenwich, CT. Bennett is President of “The Commission” overseeing the Mafia Crime families, and it is not all settled in the crime world. Alesso has always had a thing die Serena and the feelings are mutual but she is not ready for any type of relationship or even intimacy, her ex brutalized her and she suffers from PTSD. But Alesso is a patient man, a loving man, and he gives her the space she needs to heal and even grow into her own person again. He was not only great with Serena, but with her children as well. Alesso has proven himself to become one of Bennett’s most trusted employees, and Bennett has plans for him. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, a touch of mystery, thrilling suspense, twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and a wonderful slow burn romance. Siobhan Davis, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Siobhan Davis could not have chosen a better cast to bring her characters and story to life. Sarah Puckett and Tyler Darby are superbly talented narrators and versatile voice artist. They have a complete understanding of the characters there are portraying, give each a voice that fits the character’s persona perfectly, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Puckett nailed it as Serena, grasping her strength and her tormented side, Darby played Alesso perfectly too. Both were great at performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they captured all their character’s emotions and projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances an already brilliant story to another level. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Love at Last

Amazing book about two people who find each other but maybe not at the right time. Serena is still struggling from an abusive marriage and finds it hard to trust men. I love how supportive and careful Alesso is with her, eventually gaining her trusf and her heart. The storyline is engaging, complex and always keeps you guessing. Loved the audio version as it brings everything to life.

Alesso and Serena are everything!

Alesso is a made man but he is a man of every women's dream. He is attentive, caring, loving, and dependable. However, he is also fiercely protective of those he cares about and very dangerous to those who hurt the ones he loves. He loves Serena and will wait as long as it takes for her. Serena is so damaged and yet is able to push through her past and come out the other side. It's definitely not easy. This book is full of danger and deceit. I love the Mazzone crime family. Bennett tries to take care of everyone while being head of the commission. There is lots of danger in this story and action. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait for more from this world.

Sarah Puckett and Tyler Darby did a great job narrating. I enjoyed their voices and consistencies.

Loved it

Scared to love is book 3 in the Mazzone Mafia series by Siobhan Davis. Although you can read this as a standalone, for better understanding of events and characters it is best read in order. This is Serena and Alesso's story. I absolutely loved being back in the Mazzone Mafia world.

I absolutely loved Serena & Alesso and was the perfect way to end the trilogy. No matter what book it is, Siobhan has always had a way to draw you into the story and put your heart through a roller coaster of emotions.

In this book we get the backstory and get the understanding of both their personalities, past experiences and the strength they and perseverance they needed to come out of everything. We get the true backbone to who they really were.

I originally read this book about 3 years ago but now had the opportunity to listen to the audio and listen to the story come to life.

Sarah Puckett and Tyler Darby performed the audiobook in Duet style narration. They bring depth to each character. Darby was the perfect Alesso and his side characters and accents were spot on. I could feel each emotion whether happy or anguish and it really came out in both narrator's performances.

Enjoyed this one! I was definitely invested from the beginning! I loved the characters and the overall plot. Would definitely recommend!
