Constant angst

I had a really hard time finishing this book. If you like constant victimization by the female lead, dominance from male lead and constant hard sniffing, then this book is for you.

Amazing New Series and Fantastic Audio Book!

I was so excited when I found out Toxic and Mafia Wars NY were going to be on Audible! I couldn't wait to listen and knew Aaron and Ava would do an absolutely incredible job of bringing this story to life. The stramy scenes were so much hotter and the action was definitely edge of your seat! Already looking forward to the next in the series

Good but….

Was a good listen but the female lead is just so whiny!! She truly becomes hard to sympathize with at times.

This is so far my favorite Maggie Cole book to listen to. I loved how Ava Lucas read Bridget. Several times she had me crying. And Aaron 's sexy voice had me all over the map. I highly recommend this book!!!!

I need a 6th⭐!!!

Well done Maggie! Well done! I've been anxiously awaiting the Toxic release, & it was worth every bit of the wait!! I listened straight through from start to finish. I couldn't put it down! It's fantastic! I was so excited to hear Dante & Bridgete's story. I love way the original Mafia Wars weaves throughout the book. What a beautifully tragic love story. The narration is on point! Can't wait for more!

Great book

The main female lead was a cry baby. But the rest of the book was excellent.

Wow Ms Cole, you definitely delivered a toxic relationship with this very addictive rollercoaster between Bridget and Dante that spanned decades. Where a teen girl’s heart gets ruthlessly crushed over and over again by a young Mafia Prince who would bitterly live to regret it. So she gave it away to someone else who loved and cherished it.. along with the two children she gave him. All while your many nameless conquests came and swiftly went.. because they just weren’t her. You looked on in envy, you deeply regretted your stupid actions so long ago.. you wanted redemption and salvation.. and then it happened. Their bubble broke leaving a heartbroken damaged soul and a shattered bartered life. Dante, again and again it will not be your time.. but, hold on through the silent years.. hold on through the lies, the secrets, the shocking revelations, the trauma-filled painful tears.. and the bloody revenge you’ll seek for Bridget.. because one day it will be your time.

Worth a credit? Oh yes, it’s a well-written, long, deep, winding, complex and intensely emotional journey that Bridget and Dante have to go through before all the toxic feelings are out of their lives forever and I loved listening to every raw and real chapter. There’s passion at the end of the pain, swoons at the end of the sour, steam at the end of the second chance and a beautiful happy ever after. The Mafia mayhem layered the story and dished-up heartbreaking and hate-fuelled drama. The dual POV narration was great too.

I can't wait for the next book in this series! I enjoyed the story so much, I was finding time in my day to listen to it every chance I got!

Emotional Read

There was a lot more heartbreak in this mafia book than I was expecting. The second chance bit was great, even if I was a little worried that it was going to be one of those books where the H and h just keep missing each other, because she was happy with someone else for so much of this book. And our H was friends with him too. But things got on track eventually, and I got I to the book. The parts about her kids hit a little too close to home, and had feeling all the feels that I didn't want to be feeling, which probably had me lowering my rating more than I would have if I'd have read this at a different point in my life. But, it was a good story, and the audiobook was well done, bringing things to life more than the words on page ever could.

Overall a good read!

The flow of the story wasn’t as easy as I’d like but it was still a good book!
