I know I'll be reading this again. so good. I just love their love so much. it's so safe and yet has so much tension. it's passionate and emotional while trying not to be. truly excellent writing

Enjoyable!

I love Keene. He is such a great guy and loves easily. Aspen, on the other hand, I wanted to throttle. These two have been best friends since toddlers. Yet Aspen leads Keene on. What I hated was how he shows him he loves him but still can’t commit. So annoying!

One thing I thought was weird was these two really only have each other. They don’t hang out with friends or even seem to have friends. I would think Keene would hang with his team more. I mean come on he’s in college. Yet these two guys don’t really live like they are. So that part was a bit unbelievable. But over all I really liked that it wasn’t all about partying too.

Adding to my favorites! ..this was on my TBR for so long I’m glad I finally got to it! The narrators really did an amazing job bringing the story to life!

Ce Ricci does it again

I want to start by saying the narrator's were prefect for the MCs. They did an amazing job being this story to life.
The story was very good. I enjoyed it and couldn't stop listening to it.
At one point it was very heartbreaking that I sat listening with my hand over my heart.
I'd definitely recommend listening and reading anything by this author.
I'm hoping Follow the River goes to audio next.

Amazing Friends to Lovers!

I read DYD back in the spring; and so of course, when I saw the audiobook release I absolutely had to have it. Liam & Zachary did a PHENOMENAL job of bringing Pen & Keene to life. Whether you’ve read DYD or this is your first reading/listening, your ears will thank you! Seriously, so so good!!

the actors, the story it was all amazing. I'll be reading more from this author and finding more works from these narrators

3.5 A Little Confusing at first and too long

Solid narrators. First, I want to start with who is who because it took me over 5 chapters and note taking to understand.

Aspen is also know as Pen. (This was the most confusing part.) I thought Aspen and Pen were two different people in the beginning. He is mostly called Pen. Pen is the artsy casual smoker. His hobby is taking photos but he goes to school for architecture.

Keene is the hot baseball player with dreams of going into the MBL. Keene will melt your heart.

As the summary says, the two best friends are dared to kiss each other in high school. Two years later Keene tells Pen that he has had feelings ever since, which makes him question his sexuality. Does Keene like guys or does he just like Pen?

Here is another confusing part: Pen decides to help Keene figure out his sexuality. Now at this point Pen is straight and doesn’t do relationships. I’m still confused on why a straight man would physically help his best friend explore his sexuality. (Giving BJs and having sex.) Maybe I missed something?

The love story was sweet; however, like most people said, it was a tad bit too long. The author shouldn’t shaved the last two hours of the story. The third act breakup was pointless. Some reviewers said this was steamy but it only had (maybe 3) spicy scenes. The rest of the spicy scenes were mentioned like “we spent the weekend having sex” with no description. This was very disappointing for me.

I’m on the fence on if I would recommend using an Audible credit for this book. If it was free then I’d recommend it but using and credit…IDK?!?!

So good

I love this one. The love between these two men were sweet and hottt. Friends to lovers/ Bi awakenings. Not the normal GFY. Some angst to keep it interesting of course and some very 🔥 sexy mm times. Well written...I have both audiobooks by CE Ricci and 5☆ for both. Please, Keep them coming !!
Narration? Holy Yes 5☆!!! I love Liams voices and acting. I became a fan of his in the Necessary Evil series ( amazing series if u like a little dark mm romance) And Zachary Johnson is a fairly new one for me..but well done sir! Bravo gentlemen you were a very sexy duo indeed!

Pen and keen!

I freaking love pen and keen! They are the ultimate couple goals! I read this book a while ago but was so excited to get the Audio book because it’s a whole other level when you hear them!

I adore Zachary and his adaptation of pen - 10/10 - its was 😘🤌🏼

I’m not a huge fan of Liam but it wasn’t too bad either. His emotional narration was a bit off for me but not enough to deter me from listening.
