Twists and a bit of wondering who. A calm suspense but decent listen. Great narration

Good story but slow at times

This story kept my interest but it seemed to slow pace for about the last quarter of the book. The ending was well done and tied everything up nicely.

Personally, I like the shorter length of this author's books. Some so-called thrillers are longer in length, but have a lot of filler, where the action stalls and you lose interest, and are what I think of as filler-thrillers. Generally, Hurst's books are more tightly woven, and move along well, compelling you to keep listening. This one did seem to lose a bit of momentum in the final quarter, but was still a good one. Somehow the reveal of the identity of the perpetrator was a little lack lustre, lacking in any shock value, because he wasn't one of the characters who had been interwoven into the plot, making it less intriguing.

Narration was excellent.

Don't bother

This book was extremely disappointing. I love Daniel Hurst but this was slow and tedious. I'm sorry I wasted my time.
