Angelica Robles is a skilled investigator who has worked at various levels of government. In Through These Brown Eyes, the tables have turned…investigator becomes confessor, telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so helped by her God.

Having lived her early years in Mexico followed by a childhood in a rough Chicago neighborhood, Angelica Robles understands the meaning of "adapt and survive". Childhood injuries and abuse resulted in a thick skin—a negative turned to a positive—which she put to good use during the most extreme criminal investigations over the course of her professional career.

In a profession dominated by men, nothing would hold her back. However, a career is only one aspect of a life lived to the fullest. Love, sex, murder, drugs, betrayal, adrenaline…are you ready for this ride?

The ride is not yet to its destination, but Angelica Robles is driving on a boulevard to rebirth. She hopes that by sharing the bumps in her own road, the road for others may become smoother.

I wanted to love this. However the narrator voice was awful and the writing sounds like a 5th grader wrote it. Wasted a credit on this book.

The narrator voice is awful!

I wanted to like this story but found it difficult to stay interested. The narration was not good and her tone and pitch aggravated me. I bailed on this countless times hoping it would get better, but didn't.

I really wanted to enjoy this book

The story had a great meaning and tells the story if many Latinas especially Mexican immigrants or families who chase the American dream and leave the children at risk. The toxic relationship stories and bad choices of strong resilient women. The uttermost Painfull part of this book is the narrator, she has a good storyline but she should not by no means narrate her story because it makes it very painful to finish listening to and want to even continue listening to her book. She should consider classes on how to narrate stories or have someone narrate the story for her PLEASE PLEASE for the sake of your next story. Otherwise the story has commonalities of a permiscuous young women who was a victim of sexual abuse,

A common trend in Mexican women

This book jumped around a lot as far as following a story line. The reader sounded like she was reading and didn’t make it easy to listen to

This book was a hard listen. I thought it was going to be more about her husbands family but that was an after thought at the end. Her speaking/reading style was difficult to listen to.

Not what I expected
