Good mafia duet

This is Santi Carrera and Thalia Santiago's story, it's the second installment in the Corrupt Gods Duet, you would want to get Bad Blood first, so you understand what is going on. The story itself was entertaining, the characters where interesting. However the Mexican and Spanish sides of the story bothered me a bit, I would suggest some editing on this parts as the phrases where a bit off. The audiobook narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Vivienne LaRue was good, they mispronounced some things in Spanish or didn't understand some of them very well, but I understand they are not native speakers so leaving that aside I think they did a good job, the pacing was good, the sound was balanced, sometimes a bit lower on one of the narrators, but nothing unsettling. If you like mafia stories, this is a good duet to get into.

5 Lifelines over Bloodlines STARS

Picking up after the events of the last book we find that not only was Thalia taken but also Santi’s sister who has a very big secret. I absolutely loved Santi in this one. He will do what he has to to get Thalia back. The Carrera’s and the Santiago’s both will have to work together to uncover the trafficking ring and save their loved ones. I know this isn’t a funny book but I did laugh a few times at the men when they were arguing back and forth. I look forward to more books in this world.

Tainted Blood is the second book in the Corrupt Gods Duet. This book picks up right where book one ends. This book is the second half of Santi Carrera and Thalia's story.

Santi and Thalia have had a rough go at it in the first book. Thalia becomes his when he catches her stealing from him. Being on opposite sides of the mafia they are born to be enemies. Santi did whatever he could to get Thalia to be his.

However, now they are having a new battle. Thalia has been stolen from Santi. Thalia is not fighting for her life, and Sanit is fighting as well to get her back to him.

Can Thalia and Santi find their way back to each other? Can Santi get revenge on those who wronged him and Thalia? Will Santi and Thalia get their happy ending?

I really enjoyed this series, and the narrators that read this book were great!

Amazing with breath taking suspense🔥🔥

Wow, reading through these series from Carrera trilogy, Santiago trilogy, and this duet has been amazingly written and narrated. Such an wonderful coming together of rival families. The writing styles of the authors are fantastic with hot scenes, twists and turns. Locking forward to reading Rush and Ruin, Bullets and Thorns and others to come in this Carrera and Santiago storyline. Thanks to the superb narrator with authentic accents👌🏽🔥
