Holy crap!!

This is easily one of the BEST audiobook performances ever. You could feel every emotion. And the overall story was so beautiful. Easily going in my top favorites

The best slow burn ever.

Love it everytime, the story and the characters just got better with that voice. The story never ceases to amaze me.

Loved that this book picked up right where bright side left off! It was nice to see how Gus handled his grief and came out the other side! Can’t wait to read the next book!

inspiring & Emotional Story. Must Listen!

This book surprised me in the best way possible. The Author's brilliant style of writing laid out normal scenarios a person may experience after suffering a tremendous loss, including an MMC struggling and fighting through mental health issues. This view from the male perspective was refreshing and inspiring since I don't feel like it is portrayed enough. This is an emotional story that brought me to tears with Gus's overwhelming grief and made me smile with immense hope for his future.

The progression of Gus and Scout from enemies to friends to lovers was a treat to watch. The pace felt just right as they each had to work through their own challenges before they could move forward in life. The evolution of their story together was touching and heartbreaking at times through periods of reluctance, anguish, fear, vulnerability, and ultimately acceptance. Their banter and flirting was too cute and much deserved after what they had both been through!

Alex Kydd and Ava Erickson knocked it out of the park as Gus and Scout! Alex already had me crying as Gus in chapter 1 because I could feel his utter despair and heartbreak. And Ava made me want to hug Scout as she tried to prove her worth and make things better for herself and her family. They both nailed every emotion and mannerism in their voices. And Andi was fabulous as Kate. The narration was absolute perfection!!
