Entertaining but Labored

The author will certainly keep readers attuned to what might happen as the story unfolds, but I found the dialogues either predictable or laborious. I was taken aback every time the main character described herself, or her mother, as a woman who was made a fool. I prefer to read books that place the label of "fool" onto the appropriate characters. The main character could certainly be identified as such, but not because she was cheated on.

Twists and turns galore! Hold on!

Grace and Dominic, married for numerous years, have fallen into that comfortable, but sometimes boring, lifestyle that affects many couples. Grace comes home one night, rather than staying in the hotel after her meeting, and finds Dominic in that damn cabin of his in the lower back yard and he's not alone. Like any woman in shock, she decides on a surprising revengeful act; she locks them in the cabin with no way out while she thinks about what to do with them.

Hurst's thriller takes us on one heck of a ride as we watch Grace do as any level headed woman would do, right? She tosses all of his (and his mistress's) clothes in a pile in the backyard and burns them. She turns off the electricity leaving them with no lighting or heat, not to mention no toilet facilities. I know some of you ladies are snickering because you may know of someone that deserves the same treatment. I personally wouldn't go as far as Grace did but locking him up in his man-cave alone with no electricity for a day might seem reasonable, lol.

The book goes a little deeper than just a cheating husband and you'll want to grab a copy when it's released on November 1st to learn about Grace's dark past. You will not believe what you read! Great ride this one was!

This thrilling audio-book was fantastic and I listened to it right through the night finishing it in less than 24 hours. Narration by Eilidh Beaton and Matt Bates was great allowing for enhanced enjoyment of the torture experienced by Dominic.

I finished this very quickly as it gripped me immediately! I’ll definitely be getting more books from this author!

Long Term Goals

Well. First of all. The title has its own twist. And talk about the long game. This book is an inspiration on how to truly construct your goals for the long haul. Also…it made me realize…people will play the fool because they have nothing better to do in life. Premise: husband cheats on his wife and wife catches him in the act in the cabin. Wife locks cabin door from outside. What. Happens. Next. Brah! Honestly, I was wondering, “how Sway” and “make this make sense”. And. It. Does. It makes total sense and I appreciate every moment.

I left one star off because this story wasn’t my favorite one of Daniel’s however it was still a good story Daniel’s work either leaves me like holy crap that was great or like this one not as much however I think it’s just personal taste because I’m sure others love this story.
