I hate having to do this..

1) The story was good. But, The overwhelming internal dialogue and things that never get said, but should be said ‘out loud’ instead of in their own head is crazy. So many ridiculous misunderstandings because they can only talk to themselves instead of the other person. I know there has to be drama to make a book interesting but come on. Are people really this stupid? Does this really happen to other people? This is why I only have a few female friends, they’re to crazy.
2) The biggest problem of this book and the rest of the series is the mouth sounds from the male narrator. 😖OMG he totally had cotton mouth and was so close to the microphone. I could hear every single little sound from his mouth. I had to take my ear bud out and listen to it on speaker so I couldn’t hear it so clearly. He did this for almost all the books in the series. Very distracting and cringy. But I really liked the stories and characters so I dealt with it. If it’s ever possible, the series should be re-recorded by someone else or have him get a different set up and some water or gum or something.
I’m not writing this to complain, I’m writing this so maybe in future books he will listen to himself and fix this problem. When he submitted his recordings someone should have stopped him and made him read it again. If the series wasn’t so good I would have stopped listening and not gotten past the first book.

3) Lastly, it’s kind of crazy how I can see a little of myself in every one of the main females (except for Georgia and Lily) I could relate to all the other women like they were me. Now that I’m in my 40s, all these new personality traits emerged, self doubt keeps in and then you have your ex husband messing with you 🤦🏼‍♀️ and for these characters to share this insane 40s feeling with me is really cool. We’re not alone ladies.

Great story line(s)

The series was really cute. Most of the books were great in the series except one that I did not listen but the first couple of chapters , but it wasn't bad; overall, great story lines and worth listening to.

Southern drawl to melt your panties

I enjoyed this book, but then again I liked the series because I’m sick of romance only being written for younger (under 30s) women. It shows how so many of us ladies and men after our 40s are starting over. And yes by the end of this book, I was dreaming about being a bad girl and getting a spanking! Never realized that was a kink! Ohhhh baby yes please!

Least favorite of the series

Never became a fan of “Texas”. This book was more crass than the others and the male lead gave me the creeps.

If you like mouth noise..

This one was tough. Both narrator’s make a lot of tongue & mouth noise. The male narrator is borderline cringy. It’s unfortunate because these stories are very cute & I love the characters!
