Okay I guess?

Firstly, the audio portion of the book is phenomenal. Lila does a great job of bringing you into the story, giving the characters their own voice both in accent and tone.

The story itself is engrossing for the most party, but Christ almighty there is so much alliteration in Aron’s use of adjectives that it is distracting. It pulled me right out of the action to think “did we really need 3 adjectives all beginning with the letter G?”

Also, the sex kinda detracts from the plot in my opinion.

POOR CJ, NOOO

I loved how each kid had their own personality. Except Bobby. I hate Bobby. but I cry about Cj, he was such a leader, he deserved to live 😭😭😭

Disgusting, depraved and I couldn’t put it down.

Go into this blind for the best experience. This is the first book I’ve read from this author but his reputation preceded him.

It’s a disturbing read but unique and engrossing in every way. Highly recommend for those looking for a story that’ll horrify and stay with you. I loved it.

Trying way too hard

Basic idea of story is good however, the author tries to shock and disgust just for pure shock value. It doesn’t work. It comes off as just that- trying to get a shock reaction. This author used the word “concur” at least half a dozen times as well as language like “meat flaps” describing body parts. A long way off from quality writing. All that with the leash, anyone else figure at least Rock would’ve used it!
I will be crossing all his other titles off my TBR list.

Extremely twisted story and excellent narration!

Aron Beauregard, definitely is a favorite... With the twisted horrifying imagination like this, I can't ever put his books down. I loved this book.
