Disturbing but I couldn’t stop listening.

This was a very interesting book, a unique view on the afterlife for people who kill themselves. I must give a warning, this book had very disturbing content but it also had hopefully parts for the protagonists which kept me wanting to finish it. I would recommend this for anyone who has a strong stomach and likes interesting/disturbing writing. I finished the book in a couple days and downloaded the sequel right away.

It did have horror!!!

The only issue I had was he was a bit too descriptive, other than that GREAT BOOK!!!

Good Read

Something like I’ve never read before. It was good and creative. It was dark but fans of this type of genre will like it. Great narrator.

What a ride

This book was fantastic. What a great concept and story line. It felt like Narnia for the wickedly depraved. Highly recommend.

Thought Provoking

Very raw but thought provoking. Aspects of the story could be considered offensive, but when you put that aside, it’s a very good read.

So amazingly messed up

This book is sad, dramatic, brutal and at times gross. The story is so creative and different. There were a couple times I struggled getting through a scene in this book, and anytime MuK is brought up, I still cringe thinking about it, but I never thought of not finishing this story. It’s one of my favorites and I think the narrator did a great job as well. I highly recommend this book, it’s worth sticking with it through the rough parts and listen to it in its entirety.

Wonderful Dramatic Horror Tale

This was something I decided to listen to on a whim. I normally read romance but enjoy the occasional book outside that realm. I randomly looked up some reviews of a good AUDIO book since I’d be working this weekend and wouldn’t have time to enjoy a physical book and settled on this. I am SO glad I did. I thoroughly enjoyed it - it reminded me of a mix of What Dreams May Come, Silent Hill and Animal Farm - and if that doesn’t make sense… it will when you read this! Very engaging, the author pulled no punches when pulling you into this insane world and I felt for all the characters we met along the way. The narration was fantastic. I honestly think I enjoyed this more simply from the performance than if I had read it myself. It’s a journey and a dark one but if you’re looking for a “I’ll burn the world down to save my loved one” type of vibe mixed in with some scary elements - this is for you!

Perfectly Gory!

Admittedly there are many parts that are a little difficult to get through but there is definitely worse out there. The story is great and easy to follow, and the ending even though there is a bit of a plot hole I thought it was great and wrapped the story up nicely. Worth the listen
