Alex Smith wrote his first book when he was six. It wasn’t particularly good, but it did have some supernatural monsters in it. His latest books, the DCI Robert Kett thrillers, have monsters in them too, although these monsters are very human, and all the more terrifying for it. In between these two books, he has published 13 novels for children and teenagers under his full name, Alexander Gordon Smith—including the best-selling series Escape From Furnace, which is loved by millions of listeners worldwide, and is soon to become a motion picture. He lives in Norwich with his wife and three young daughters.

Never disappointed

I love these books and wait, biting my fingernails and sitting on my haunches for the next book!! The writing is so well done and I feel the characters are almost family now. Please keep turning out this series on audible I cannot read the books regularly myself due to vertigo and these books help me somuch

I enjoyed detective Kett,the intrigue the mystery ,the characters . I cannot wait for the next book

Another great book in the series. This one definitely kept me guessing, and it was another fast-paced plot.

Another great story

I really liked this book, but it got a little frustrating near the end. Not trying to add spoilers, but I’m not crazy about storylines with no end. Hopefully he’ll wrap that plot line up soon.

Same excitement and great writing and reading as the previous four. The rest of the series is waiting on our reader to have time to record, so not available on audiobook yet.
