Do you have a list of books you refer to your clients? If so, Lynn has a series she recommends you add to your must-read list for all mothers!

In today’s podcast, Lynn speaks with Physical Therapist, author and founder of Holistic Pelvic Care, Tami Lynn Kent as she releases an updated version of her Wild Mothering book.

Tami has been working in women’s health for over 25 years and has a 3 book “Wild” series that she wrote to help connect mothers with the wisdom and the energy in their womb and pelvic space: Wild Feminine, Wild Mother (formerly Mothering from Your Center) and Wild Creative. These books explore the connection between the feminine centers where information is received and processed and how when women are taught to read this information, they can open themselves up to the complete energetics of the body.

Tami’s second book, Wild Mothering, has been released as a second addition with a new chapter that is written from an older mother’s perspective as well as the original chapters that were written from the perspective of a new mother.

Mothering can be a soul crushing journey at times, but Tami Lynn Kent provides some great resources in her Wild Series that can support moms and connect them with their own inner wisdom. This podcast is a reminder for all pelvic health therapists that the pelvic bowl contains amazing medicine. We need to learn to listen to and follow this wisdom.

  • A Day in the Clinic
    May 6 2024

Have you ever wondered what a day in the clinic is like for other practitioners? What do they do with their clients that may be something you want to try in your own practice?

In today’s episode, Lynn shares her day in the clinic and her treatment of six different clients. Each person required different treatment ranging from sacral flexion to release of scar tissue and nervous system regulation.

On any given day, practitioners are presented with a variety of conditions and have to choose the best treatment options possible. Sometimes we don’t get it perfect on the first try, and other times, the techniques we use seem to work like magic.

Listen in to learn about Lynn’s 6 sessions, what unique issues each client presented with, and what treatment path Lynn chose to help decrease the presenting complaints.

If you are interested in learning more about the techniques used in this podcast please start with the FREE Sacral Flexion Pattern course through the Institute for Birth Healing.

  • Assessing the Pregnant Body
    Apr 29 2024

Do you see clients during pregnancy even if they are not having pain? Do you assess their pelvic floor muscle tightness and their ability to lengthen/push?

In today’s podcast Lynn talks about a postpartum client she is working with who was never assessed during her pregnancy and ended up having a traumatic birth.

In the USA, medical providers focus on keeping the baby and mom alive in the birth process. Yet we as a medical/health community can be doing so much more to prepare mom’s body for birth. We can learn how to assess the sacral position, pelvic floor muscles and the uterine ligaments to get the body in the best position possible for a smooth birth. Another thing we can do is teach moms how to push prior to being in labor, so they will know what this feels like and how to engage their pelvic muscles when it is time to push during childbirth. A lack of preparation can lead to longer and more traumatic births. Listen in to learn more about Lynn’s case study and tips on how to better support your pregnant clients and prepare them for a smoother birth.
