Aww, Declan and Jade’s story was the best from this wildcat hockey series! I truly enjoyed the marriage of convenience and how slowly they opened their hearts to each other. I felt this was a no drama zone hockey romance and once again, it was nice to hear something real and raw for a change. I couldn’t resist how the spice in here was more intense but subtle, just a dash of it, with plenty of great banters.

Connor Crais and CJ Bloom were fantastic together narrating Jade and Declan. I have to say, I think they are so good, it doesn’t matter who they pair up with for narration but when they get together, I quickly fall in love with their voice-acting skills!!!! They are just on point with these characters, bringing so much humph, and so much charisma. Declan is not only a swoon-worthy gentleman but he can also melt your heart to goo as Jade is a lovely woman & dedicated to her job. I just love listening to how they fall in love and yes, the narrators were flawless! Great job, Connor & CJ- this one will be one of those audiobooks, a re-listen when I am stuck in a rut book moment. Hahahaha.

There aren't a lot of hockey games in this one but more of the romance between them & I am okay with this. I think it was best considering Declan was already a big hockey star & it’s more how can he handle the fame or spotlight with Jade. It needed the focus of how their relationship will turn out and oh, how lovely it turned out!!!! So, for me, it is a perfect blend of sweet, spice, and rolling the dice of their type of love!!!! I am a fan of this series and so, all the side characters were truly cherry on top, so likable! I can not wait for the next book 4!!!!

OMG, I claim Declan...

Jade is doing really well as writer for bridal magazine I Do. So well that her boss offers to cover all the expenses of her wedding and honeymoon as long as it all can be featured in upcoming issues. Plans are fun steam ahead until a few days before the wedding when Jade's fiancé bails out. Jade is in a panic, surprisingly more about her job than about the breakup.  
Enter Declan Sato, hockey player, hotter than sin, volunteering as tribute. He's hunky, loyal, supportive, a dream come true. That can definitely work, as the fiancé's name was never revealed. 
Add an idyllic honeymoon in St. Lucia, forced proximity living in Declan's house, meddling friends and you have the perfect recipe for an HEA.
(I must confess that I was so besotted with Declan, who's top book boyfriend material, that I wanted to yell at Jade sometimes! But I completely understand where she was coming from. Had to get that out of my chest though. lol )
This is book 3 in a series but you can definitely enjoy it as a standalone. 
Narration: Connor Crais and CJ Bloom are perfection in this audiobook! CJ portrays Jade brilliantly as the driven, ambitious, passionate but vulnerable Jade. And you can't get anything better than swoony Connor. Sigh.

I’ve been loving this series by her so much! These two were no exception and I was so excited to get to their story. They were fun, angsty, passionate & just so good together. I loved getting to see them build such a great friendship too. Super excited to see what is next for this series.

New To Me Author

This is my first book by Rebecca Jenshak, and I was not disappointed! While this book was definitely a hockey romance, I kind of liked that hockey really wasn’t the main focus in this story, since the conflict mainly sat with Jade’s job. While I wish that Jade was a bit more… I don’t know… likeable? I do think that Declan was an AMAZING hero who did literally anything for his woman, even when she didn’t necessarily deserve it. If this book is anything to go by for RJ books, I’ll definitely be jumping into more of her books in the future!
