Publisher's summary

Secretly hooking up with the team captain's sister was a bad idea. In my defense, the first time I saw her, I didn't know who she was. Kind, gorgeous, a little naïve. Ginny brightened my world from day one. I knew I was no good for her. She was just out of a relationship, and I had a reputation for having a new girl in my bed every weekend.

I tried to do the right thing. Honest. I'm the one who insisted we should be just friends. That lasted about as long as you'd expect.

But Ginny? She's the best - best friend, best everything. So yeah, hooking up with the team captain's sister wasn't a great idea. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat.

Secret Puck

Life is short. Be happy and enjoy every moment.

Secret Puck is my first Rebecca Jenshak book and it will not be my last. I enjoyed the relationship growth between Heath and Ginny.

Ginny is starting college on her own and her brother Adam helps her out by introducing her to a bunch of his friends and teammates who welcome her with open arms. Heath is attracted to Ginny but her brother has warned the team to stay away. Only after trying to be friends for a while, their attraction becomes too much to ignore but just as their relationship starts to bloom things take a turn.

I enjoyed that Heath and Ginny started their relationship as friends, moved into a relationship and then eventually helped each other grow and come to realize their meaning of love. I liked a lot of the side characters and can not wait to see who gets their own stories.

Joe Arden did a great job as always bringing life to Heath. Vanessa Edwin did a great job bringing Ginny to life and making her sound like the sweet and innocent girl that she seemed to be.

Low angst, college, hockey romance!

Secret Puck is a college, hockey romance and the first in Rebecca Jenshak’s Campus Nights series. This one was a lot of fun and probably one of my favs from this author!

Heath and Ginny are so cute! I loved how they meet and become friends. She’s also his teammate/friend’s little sister. And they keep their relationship a secret for a bit since her brother is his hockey team captain. I liked how he’s the one ready to ask/tell her brother about them but she’s the one who makes him wait at first. The audiobook in particular was a lot of fun and I just adored this low angst, hockey romance!

Cute story!

Ginny is starting her first year at Valley U where her brother also attends. He's protective of her and tries to help her come out of her shell. It's a cute story with very little drama. I loved it!
Vanessa Edwin and Joe Arden were both great in this book. Only thing I was confused on was Rothruss's accent. Is he a miswesterner or scottish because the accent was different every time. Other than that, like I said, this story was great!

Ginny and Heath find love

What a great start to a new series. This is book one of Campus Nights and it is a spin off from Smart Jocks which I absolutely loved.

This book gives us Heath who is Nathan's little brother from the Smart Jocks Series. We watched Heath as he grew up and came to Valley U to be a hockey star. Now the team captain's little sister has come to Valley and he no longer wants to just hook up with random girls, he wants to spend time with Ginny even if it's just to talk.

Ginny is tired of being Adam's little sister and known as baby Payne, she wants to spread her wings but she just got out of a relationship and she isn't looking for romance, that is until she gets to know Heath and finds there is so much more to this man than she first thought.

I loved the characters and the story and just fell right back into Valley U life. This is a book about college students but it is so much more. There is depth and emotion and real life going on with these characters. I love how this author pulls me in and wraps me up with all the characters. It was fun and sweet and I just loved it and highly recommend it.

The book is great on it's own then you add Joe Arden and Vanessa Edwin to narrate it and it's a double win. Loved their voices and they were Heath and Ginny for me.

5 stars for sure.

4.5 Stellar Stars!!!

This was an amazing read by Rebecca Jenshak! I had an entire novels worth of typing here but it disappeared and of course, I hadn’t backed it up yet so just know this book was awesome, full of a solid connection with a slow (okay, NOT slow but they didn’t “do the deed” until later in the book) burn. The secondary characters were so good I can’t wait to read their stories either!
Joe Arden and Vanessa Edwin did really well with the narration on audible too! They gave extra depth to the characters which was icing on the cake! Chef’s kiss!!!

Cute New Adult Sports Romance

This was a cute new adult sports romance. It's a spin off from the Smart Jocks series and the hero, Heath, is the brother of the MMC in The Fake. The narration by Joe Arden and Vanessa Edwin was great and I especially enjoyed Vanessa Edwin's performance. She really made those emotional scenes hit home!

There are lots of fun tropes in this one like teammate's little sister, friends to lovers, and forbidden-ish romance. The reformed player isn't my favorite type of hero, but I appreciated that the book was pretty low angst and that Heath's character arc and growth was an important part of the story. I also liked that there wasn't a rush for the characters to have penetrative sex. Things were plenty sexy without that and when they did decide to take that step, both were 100% ready and on board. I loved the little cameo's from the Smart Jocks characters/couples and the epilogue was a beautiful way to bring those worlds together. I'm looking forward to reading more books in this series, especially Rhett's!
