About this listen

Prometheus Rising describes the landscape of human evolution and offers the listener an opportunity to become a conscious participant. In an astoundingly useful road map infused with humor and startling insight, Robert Anton Wilson presents the eight circuits of the brain model as an essential guide for the effort to break free of imprinted and programmed behavior. Bob writes, "We are all giants, raised by pygmies, who have learned to walk with a perpetual mental crouch. Unleashing our full stature–our total brain power–is what this book is all about.”

A fantastic work by a fantastic author

I read this book 25 years ago and it changed my life. It’s model of the mind/body as a reprogrammable bio-computer has made a huge difference in my life both personally and professionally

Should be required reading

This book contains extremely valuable information regarding the nature of consciousness and is practically a manual for a self guided therapy experience. Don't take my word for it, pick this book up and start doing the exercises.

The thinker thinks. The proover prooves.

Wilson wrote of cosmically weighty subjects with wit, acute accuracy, and leaves a longing for more. Baby Boomers may not be known for their lasting contributions to psychology and cosmology, but Wilson will be regarded as a true visionary in time. His fiction and non-fiction works will simultaneously have you enthusiasticly contemplating your place in the universe while not taking yourself or the world too seriously. A must read for pyschonauts of any age.

The voice

I didn’t enjoy it at all. I didn’t understand the content and the reader’s voice was annoyed me to the point where I couldn’t focus on the material.

terribly disappointing

I got this book because of an Instagram post which made the book sound helpful, thought-provoking, and evolved. I couldn't even finish listening to this pile of rubbish. The worst book that I have ever endeavored to read.
