VISIONS OF FLESH AND BLOOD: a Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire Compendium is a comprehensive companion guide for background, history, reader-favorite information, and reference materials. Combined with original short stories and scenes from some of the world’s most beloved characters, it’s a treat for the senses.

Told from the point of view of Miss Willa herself, the compendium acts like research material but reads like a journal and cache of personal notes, allowing the reader to revisit the characters and history they so love yet view things in a different way.

VISIONS OF FLESH AND BLOOD by Jennifer L. Armentrout with Rayvn Salvador is a must-add addition to the series that any Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire fan will enjoy.

I want to start of with I do love the FBAA series and this book had so much potential but it's was painfully repetitive and unnecessary. I went in wanting to love it but it was basically an elaborate repetitive summary of all the books and all the characters telling you the same storyline over and over again. Only 15% of the his book was amazing and this why I say it had a lot of potential. the 15% was actual entries from what we would imagine the real diary of miss Willa would be with her very elaborate and interesting experiences and I really enjoyed the the Q and A article with JLA and Kieran, that was funny. Had the whole book been like that it would be a 5 start review across the board because the narrator was amazing and her story telling was impeccable. I wish it would have been done right Willa had so much to tell and all you get are like 3 stories and an interview the rest is pointless information some one who hasn't read the books and doesn't want to go to the trouble of reading all the books would probably find this book helpful since it just summarizes all the books including the one about niktos and seraphina and explains all vocabulary and and all the gods and the realms and all the things you would know if you read all the books it's just basically recorded by Willa as if it was some sort of guide eplaining and breaking down everything. in my opinion not worth the credit unless you are willing to skip 85% of the book.

Had so much potential!

What to read a recap of 7 books like it’s an encyclopedia or an 8th grade history book? Then this is for you. Wanna feel shortchanged that the author is probably burnt out on this story and that’s the only reason for this publication was to meet a publishing deadline? Sign up. As always the narrator for this series was phenomenal but as it turns out this was very much not my thing. LOVE this author. Very much looking forward to finishing this series as I’m fully invested.

Although this was an interesting read, I was quite frustrated about it. There was pretty much nothing new in this book. Some of Willa’s accounts of her own experiences were intriguing to see but there were not a lot of them. For those that have not read Sera and Ash’s story, do not read this yet!! She pretty much recounts both series and all the events that happen so it would spoil that for you! Not sure why JLA hasn’t gone forward with the story??

Frustrating!

Too much repetition of the same back stories. Audio recording should have been amended to reflect this so you don’t have to hear the same stories again and again. Very disappointing.

it reviews the stories that have already been told several times. you don't learn anything new. just skip this book.
