This title uses virtual voice narration
Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.
Nann, that's with 2 N's, has inherited an old heirloom of a house, along with a pet pig familiar who talks through the radio and likes to steal toilet seats. Nothing strange there. After moving in she becomes fast friends with an alligator shifter and a fairy who works as a mechanic. The Vampire club meets upstairs above her book store. Little do they know that the ghost of a French vampire occupies the same space. And she's not found of the sounds emitting from their bodies.
***Join Nann and friends as they battle sea hags and mundane creatures big and small in this Complete Series Set.***
This Complete Series Set includes these books:
Calm Before the Witch Storm
The Witch is in the Details
Better the Witch You Know
A Witch Axe to Grind
A Cauldron of Witch Tricks

The worst thing about the series is Vitual Voice. There was no inflection in the story and might well be why I felt like the characters were not developed. The droning of the story put me to sleep several times & I had to find the last thing I remembered prior to falling asleep. Obviously the stories were compelling enough I wanted to complete the series.

1. the virtual voice was a HUGE disappointment for me. It lacked the lilt for expression that I enjoy with a regular narrator. Any sarcasm or double entendre were delivered flat and I almost missed it, and
2. I found the story often difficult to follow because the virtual voice didn't change the tone from one character to the next making it difficult to know who was speaking between characters. (ie 2 different females) Sometimes I had to rewind to listen again so I didn't miss a clue/or a conversation.

Athame - “a’-tha-mae”
Hecate - “heh’-kah-teh”
Its jarring to the ear and detrimental to enjoyment of the tale when words are mispronounced.
