It’s the day I’ve been dreaming about my whole life. As I glide down the flower-strewn aisle overlooking the Greek orange groves, in my pearl-encrusted ivory gown, I finally see my fiancé Nik. We look like the perfect couple, but not all fairy tales have happy endings....

Alice = extremely unlikable

I like Sue Watsons books but the women in her books have gotten more and more foolish and seem weak on so many levels. Alice is the most unlikeable to date. I found myself looking for a reason to care if something bad happened to her. The story itself was good but I believe Alice could have been written smarter or in a way that I respected her more and the story would have still worked. She is a self indulgent, sloppy, blackout drunk who would buy a bridge if you asked her to. Without giving away too much…. What kind of woman decides to leave the country when she is the subject of a full blown police investigation? She makes bad decision after bad decision. Starting at the beginning, she is painted as kind of a loser. I was starting to hope something bad would happen to her by the end. For someone so wrapped up in true crime, you think she would be clever. Instead she is a bumbling drunken fool, using a divorce and her inability to have children as an excuse to behave badly. Poor me syndrome.

This is another great read from Sue Watson. I've read all her books and they're all good.

Everything I love about a good mystery, exotic location and great storyline.

Loved it all. Ms. Watson can craft a great mystery without being redundant. Likely will listen again!

Absolutely brilliant

His story is fantastic and as you’re reading it, you can’t even imagine how it’s going to end and it keeps you guessing towards the end and you find out at the same time the main character does that something is wonky. I enjoyed reading this story.

Hooked from the beginning

I was hooked from the very beginning and just couldn’t stop listening. Some twists and turns that you can sort of guess might be the case, but the biggest ones are totally unexpected. For me a couple of the biggest surprises came in the Epilogue!!! Love this author. Have 6-8 0f her books and she doesn’t disappoint.
