  • EP62: Scissor Sisters (Part 1)
    Apr 24 2024
The notorious "Scissor Sisters" case ranks among the most brutal and shocking in Irish history, leaving a dark mark on the true crime genre. Linda and Charlotte Mulhall, despite a troubled existence marred by alcohol and drug addiction and a history of abuse, had never shown signs of extreme violence or serious legal troubles. That changed dramatically when they gruesomely stabbed, bludgeoned, and cut the throat of their mother's boyfriend, dismembered his body in a bathroom, and discarded the remains in Dublin's Royal Canal. Adding to the horror, they retained his head with the intention of burying it separately, turning a savage murder into a macabre tale of calculated cruelty. In Part 1 of our two-part coverage of this outrageous case, we detail exactly what happened, how it happened, and cover some fascinating facts surrounding "homicidal mutilation." TRIGGER WARNING: This episode is graphic in nature and discusses topics of sexual assault and self-harm. Please listen with caution. • EP61: Neglected to Death
    Apr 17 2024
Some fates are worse than death. One such fate—physically melting into a couch, with flesh fusing to the fabric—was absolutely agonizing and tragically endured by a 36-year-old woman named Lacey Fletcher. Lacey faced various challenges that made her entirely dependent upon her parents, Sheila and Clay. However, instead of providing the necessary medical and psychological support that Lacey needed, her parents allowed her to slowly (and painfully) die before their very eyes. Immobile, nonverbal, and unable to call for help, Lacey was at the mercy of two merciless people who allowed maggots to feed off her dying flesh while she was still alive. This case probes deep into the darkest aspects of human nature, where those expected to protect and nurture by virtue of blood and love instead became instruments of outrageous suffering. • EP60: Toolbox Killers
    Apr 10 2024
"For those of you who don’t know what hell is like, you will find out." These were the foreboding words a prosecutor uttered in 1981, moments before playing 17 harrowing minutes of audio that documented the appalling abuse of a 16-year-old girl. The courtroom was enveloped in grief, with many in tears or compelled to leave…all except for Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris, the two perpetrators responsible for the suffering. Known as “The Toolbox Killers,” this infamous serial killer team sat unfazed, even smiling, as their victim's screams filled the room, a stark testament to their depravity. Responsible for the torture and murder of five teenage girls in California, Bitaker and Norris's actions truly represent the epitome of human cruelty. Their heartbreaking, calculated torment of their victims before their deaths is the stuff of nightmares. TRIGGER WARNING: This case is very graphic in nature and may be difficult to listen to. Please listen with caution. Love it already

A friend recommended this podcast to me a few weeks ago...finally decided to listen on my 1hr commute home at 2am in the morning. Rocked my socks! Perfect mix of "Haha" and "Oh, shit!" Love that they cover the grit of the cases. Brooke and Tanks chemistry and history between one another is awesome and genuine! Racing to get through more episodes.

Feed me. F*ck me. Psychopedia me.

Absolutely binge worthy. I love this podcast. I'm an avid true crime fanatic. Normally, I would have to take breaks from the constant "doom & gloom". However, Tank brings his well informed levity while Investigator Slayer drops her wicked case bombs with her intellectually vicious rhetoric. The combination is refreshing. entertaining and hilarious. It means I NEVER have to stop listening. EVER. Keep it up. You guys ring my bell every time!

kicking ass

I am hooked line and sinker. all caught up on content. need more.
Slater voice delivers. Tank I relate to you on so many levels.
thank you.

little side not for Tank. I recently had a friend say to me she thinks I could drink (sober 2 years now and I am the best version of my self!) I went along with what she was saying. then later she tried passing me her drink. I had to ask "is this alcohol? " i almost just grabbed and sipped outta reflects. but it hit me she didn't understand... and I replayed your conversation with investigator Slater. where she didn't understand. But new you and your struggle. this moment comforted me and kept me on a path that some drinkers just can't fathom. it won't stop there and there isn't enough booze once activated.

so thank you.
You are a key element to. this podcast. Tank love you
