A new town. A new bar. A new life.

At least, that’s what I’m hoping for.

I moved to Denver to try to piece my family back together, but I have no idea how to do that. Then the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen walks into my bar, and I think things are looking up. She needs a fake boyfriend for the night and I’m all too eager to play along. But when the sun rises, reality settles in and I know I want more. Only I don’t think she’s ready for what I have to give.

I want to be more than a good time, but I know what I’m good for. I need control. And she’s far too innocent. But when something happens that changes the rules, we’ll have to make a choice quickly, or we could lose everything before it even starts.

Ever since meeting Greer's brothers in "Best Friend Temptation", I have been counting down the days until her siblings got their series. "Good Time Boyfriend" is a flirty, sweet and romantic fake dating romance that was the perfect start to the new series.

Devney is the middle child of 11 kids and is always under the microscope of her family, in the most caring way. So, to help get them off her back, she makes up a fake boyfriend and uses Heath as her inspiration. Heath and his siblings moved to Colorado to be closer to his sister, Greer. And there he opens his own bar. When a striking blonde he met a year earlier comes in with her siblings and they think he's dating, Heath goes along with it. Heath has nothing to gain out of it but he's a good guy and pretends to date Devney. But as they spend time together, a connection between them forms.

This was such a fun and flirty story. Heath and Devney were the perfect couple to start this story. Heath is such a great brother, and you can tell how much he loves his siblings. His need to help and protect shines through and that is apparent when helps Devney without a second thought. Devney is so sweet and relatable to me. She's also close with her siblings but struggles to stand out on her own. I loved the friendship they developed as they spent time together. They had flirty banter but connected on a deeper level. There are some parental issues with Heath, who are an absolute mess, but that mess helps him realize that he is worthy to have someone like Devney. I loved their families and I'm so excited for the rest of the series.

Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder narrate this story and I just loved listening to them so much. Teddy was the perfect choice to play the caring and protective Heath. And Emma was great as the sweet and loveable Devney.

Flirty, sweet and romantic!

Devney and Heath are an interesting combination. I've never heard a guy state that he and a girl had a meet cute. I saw his softer side when he was talking about this. He's also a good guy in the fact that he goes along with Devney's story. How many guys would actually do that. Maybe he was just trying to protect her. As the oldest in his family, that is what he does; protect his family members.

There are some heavy moments in this book as well as some hilarious ones. The book is well rounded with a little bit of everything in it.

How can you not love Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder in a Carrie Ann Ryan book.

LOVED this book. It was a great start to a new series. There was a rollercoaster ride to a HEA but of course in true Carrie Ann Ryan fashion, the ending left me ready for the next!
Heath needs to get out of his own head and Devney has to come to terms with the consequences of her lie. So, their relationship started off to cover up her lie. It started off fake but ended up being so much more. They briefly saw each other but it made an impression. Now, where to go from there? Will the relationship just stay a good time or end up as more? Heath has things to work through but will it be too late? Sooooo many questions... so many possibilites... so may feelings.

I read and listened to this book. I loved the audio as I picked up things I missed and the dual narration was amazing.

I really enjoyed this one a lot. It pulled me in from beginning to end and I loved getting to know Devney and Heath. This is a bit of a spin off series while also being a standalone as well. We met Heath in his sister's book (Best Friend Temptation) but it does stand and start all by itself just fine. Heath and Devney start out with a fake/pretend relationship that Devney made up to get her family off her back about dating and when she ends the fake relationship they show up to talk to Heath, who had no idea about it. I loved that they both remembered each other and were drawn from the very beginning and when this all occurs, Heath takes the opportunity to ask her out and things take off from there. There was plenty of things going on in this story to hold my attention and keep the story moving forward. I loved how they moved at a speed that worked from them and started to get to know each other without a whole bunch of pressure. They all just fit together when they started adding their friends and families as well. This story was fun and entertaining the entire time. It is well written and I loved the banter and teasing throughout the story. I can't wait to get the rest of the Cassidy brother's books and see what is going on with them.
The narrators did a fantastic job with the characters and bringing the story to life with showcasing emotion and action in their voices. They did so good with all the different characters as well.

Great story and narrators!
