When Christa joins a tour group heading deep into the snowy expanse of the Rocky Mountains, she's hopeful this will be her chance to put the ghosts of her past to rest. But when a bitterly cold snowstorm sweeps the region, the small group is forced to take shelter in an abandoned hunting cabin. As the storm grows more dangerous and the number of survivors dwindles one by one, Christa must decide who she can trust before this frozen mountain becomes her tomb.

Whodunnit with a Twist

I figured out the twist only because this is my favorite genre. I’ve read hundreds of books just like this one HOWEVER many of the women in my Book Club did not see the end coming (like at all)! I think it’s worth the read and it should keep you guessing. Pay attention, there are lots of hidden clues in each chapter.

Had me guessing all the way through to the end

This was a “can’t put it down” storybook. I found myself reaching to listen longer and almost sad when I finally finished the story. So now I’m gonna try another one of her books.

Way too long

This book felt like an absolute drag and the author seemed to over explain and over describe everything. At the height of the main character being chased, she suddenly stops to give a history and description of the location she is going towards; it was out of place and very jarring.

The killer is given away in the beginning of the book and his whole motive doesn’t make a lot of sense other than “he’s crazy.” The author tries to tie everything together, but it never really does. Sadly, I’ve read most of her books and this is one of the better ones.

Mid at best

Totally predictable. Literally anyone could figure it out but it did have a few twists that got me. Also the killer is so bad. I won’t him
Also the narrator was really good

Kept me guessing!!

This held my attention and I didn’t want to put it down. It was very slow and over-detailed in parts but otherwise, I wanted to know what happened. The twists and were good and surprising and I enjoyed the ending.
