    In this meditation we’ll establish some contact with the body by first placing a hand on the chest and a hand on the belly, and then we’ll bring our awareness to the breath as it moves and flows through the belly, ribs, and chest. Then we’ll just watch the breath and the body in this way, gently expanding and contracting, allowing the rhythm, movements, and sensations to guide us into a state of calm.   • Thumbs to Fingers

    In this meditation we’ll just take a few minutes to ground ourselves by connecting the mind and the body. The exercise is simple and easy: placing our attention on one hand at a time, we’ll touch the thumb to each finger, one after the other, and then allow the hand to rest. We’ll do this once with each hand and then take a few short moments to sit in silence. Small, mindful exercises like these can really help to settle the mind and bring some balance and calm into our day.
