Herron, like all good novelists, manufactures his own form of reality and persuades his readers to subscribe to it. The satire is streaked with violence, which itself has elements of visual comedy. This is not the sort of novel where you're likely to find positive portraits of Old Etonians. But if you read one spy novel this year, read Real Tigers. Better still, read the whole series

Best yet in the Slow Horses series

This is the third in the Slow Horses book series and the best yet. Wonderful to have the odious Peter Judd and devious politicking in this book. Sean Barrett’s narration is superb as usual - such a pleasure to listen to. Exciting, witty and full of great characters.

Great Story, Genius Narration

Super entertaining and well written story, the narrator brings it to life perfectly. He is a genius, I hope he narrates every book in the series

Excellent spy book with action and dry humour

Spy books are often dry, slow and tedious. Not this one. Throw in interesting characters and plot twists.
