Publisher's summary

A girl traumatized by the murder of her tribe.

A battle-worn woman who became the perfect machine for survival and the deadliest special operator on Earth.

Now, with the entire world collapsing around her and safety–and Alpha Team–10,000 miles away…

Strap in for the opening salvo of the ARISEN: Operators epic—the biggest and most explosive ARISEN adventure yet and the untold story of the pipe-hitting operators of the Unified Special Operations Command during the first two years of the Zulu Alpha. To have any chance of reaching safety in Fortress Britain, Master Sergeant Yaël Sion must first escape the collapsing gravity well of Israel as it's devoured from within by merciless jihadi fighters, striking in the chaos of rampaging hordes of infected civilians, all in a global pandemic spiraling out of control. She must then cross a million square miles of open water, surviving one lethal trial after another, embracing and sacrificing allies, all while keeping herself mobile, supplied, and clinging to life. She will also have to confront and defeat her own demons, learning that solitude is not the only path to survival and other people are not always a lethal threat… if she is to find a reason for staying alive at all.

Great book with a different perspective of the ZA.

This is definitely a grade A worthy arisen book. It’s about a flawed operator struggling with moral dilemmas of leaving people/and team behind to survive in the ZA. Just doesn’t feel the same without having a team of operators for me. I personally prefer the team action. I really do like the great insight of the moral dilemma throughout the book. It’s a different perspective of a female operator who is choosing to survive instead of loyalty to the unit. Which is probably something that happened with a lot of unit operators across the ZA. Outstanding military tactics and insight, which is pretty standard for the series. I’ll be interested to see the future of this series. But overall, another great book.

Book One

Brings joy to my soul that this is just the beginning of a new storyline in this fallen world. Solid story.

Once again a fantastic listen

MSF amazes us over and over with his phenomenal storytelling. Plus this series is not the same if RC Bray isn’t reading it to me. Waiting patiently for the next ride!

Jewish badassery!

The best zombie apocalypse series ever. Throw in a Jewish badass female commando, hell yeah. As per usual, RC Bray rocked it.

Killed it!

MSF brings another great story alive, and I am impressed because I really found the character hard to like; don’t get me wrong she is a bad ass, but her lone wolf attitude sucks.

Also enjoyed getting a perspective of this particular ZA from a different vantage point, and I’m looking forward to a second book.

What more is there to say? Excellent as usual.

There's nothing to not like about this book. Excellent story telling as usual with all of the oh, by the way technical dazzle and attention to detail bad assery I have come to expect. Michael Stephen Fuchs is the par excellence of the military zombie apocalypse genre. Also, bringing it all together is RC Bray's voice narration. It's like he was born the tell this tale of these pipe hitting operators.
