When Allison is asked to play Cinderella-turned-fiancé at a Halloween ball, the last thing she expected was to be accused of murder. She has to find the killer or she'll be put to death for the crimes she didn't commit. To make matters worse, the victims are all werewolves.

On the short list of potential victims, Allison has to act fast, or the killer will have one more body to add to his little black book of corpses.

Excels or with a few fun twists

While the narrators spoke a little to slowly, she was easy to listen to, and did a fair job at couching the characters.

Interesting Story with Challenging Narration

Overall, I found the story interesting with a couple of twists and a decent end. What I struggled with a little was how the narration was delivered or edited, not sure which. it felt a little staccato whenever there was a “he said” or “she said” or similar part, or sentence change.

Narrator was OK

I had a hard time keeping up with what was going on. The story would go off on a tangent and I was left wondering what was happening. Things just didn't make sense. The narrator was OK. A little stilted. Odd cadence. Eh, I'm glad it was a free book.

Interesting story

The story was interesting enough to keep me engaged to the end. But there were periods that dragged for me. For instance, she had to come back to consciousness several times, and in the process she would tend to philosophize. It would draw out the scenes and make me a little impatient. Her personality lended to being dark. it’s understandable in her situation, but it led to her, expecting her own death many times. I wasn’t especially crazy about the narrator. Her style led to abruptness and choppiness in my view. I got used to it after a while, and she did try to change the voice a little bit that allowed me, the listener, to recognize that another character was speaking.

Twists and turns.

This one is much more twisty than the first. I was almost sad when I got to the end. It will be interesting to see where the next one goes.
This world gets more and more interesting.
