Reverend Rock Clark has scoffed at the term “pastor burnout” when he’s heard other pastors use it. Just an excuse for a sabbatical, he once told his wife, Liz. But now he’s eating his words. Eating crow is more like it, and he’s been doing a lot of that lately. Maisy Martin thinks she’s lucky despite having a disappearing daddy and a momma everyone thinks is crazy. Her luck began the day she got caught stealing tomatoes. If not for that fateful day ten years ago, she wouldn’t have Tom and Zell Baker in her life and would likely be drifting from one foster home to another. Her newest spell of luck began the day Liz Clark came to her high school as the new guidance counselor. It was Mrs. Clark who opened the path to helping Maisy save her momma. But she knew in her heart it wasn’t luck—it was a blessing . What do a lucky girl and a burned-out pastor have in common? See for yourself when God brings these two families together. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll be reminded once again how nice it is to live in Park Place, where neighbors help neighbors. Conflict Resolution Genre Fiction Relationships Small Town & Rural

As I started listening to this book, I couldn’t figure out the title. But as the book went on the title became more evident, you cry you laugh you hold your breath, and then at the end, you realize the little girl was held so close by God that there was no way she would not have made it!

How a little girl made it!

Wonderful story full of life’s struggles & joys. The horrible things that we’ve done in the past can all be forgiven by God & those who have God in their hearts.

Heart felt story that would have been much better with a human voice instead of computer generated.

What sweet and thoroughly thought out story line. Loved to book, but the virtual voice was not good. I just kept wishing it was read by a human.

Great story. Bad narration.

The story and Bible verses were excellent. However, the virtual voice was distracting and nearly ruined the book. I will not choose another book being performed by virtual voice.

Engaging story of forgiveness

AI voice does a disservice to this book. Although most of the words are pronounced properly the lake of voice inflections and emotions fall far short.

Not a fan of AI.
