Sam and Valerie Owens, owners of the Banty Hen Antique Shop, find themselves entangled in a murder investigation after being the last ones to see the victim alive. Valerie’s new venture, the Sweet Tea Quilting Bee is comprised of an eclectic mix of women and their weekly meetings help keep Valerie’s mind off the murder, but it’s hard to keep concealed from the ladies that the victim was killed over, of all things, an antique quilt! The murder suspect has been described as tall and thin, a vague description, but Police Chief Jess Hamilton and his new detective, a self-described Columbo, are on the case, questioning every tall and thin person in town. Even Sister Margaret, a nun who has just begun her mission at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, doesn’t go unnoticed. But it’s hard not to notice a nun who dances and sings along with country music when she thinks no one’s watching.

I love this whole series!
Another amazing novel from the talented Glenda C. Manus! This one is a suspense/murder mystery so it's a little different than the others. Love getting to visit with the characters from the Southern Grace series!!!

comforting story
I accidentally found this book when browsing the titles included in Audible's selection of those included in the subscription. Three books later I am completely in love with the small town of Park Place and all of the warm and friendly people that reside there.
I love how the author has biblical scriptures in the book, showing the people's walk with God but never preaching. I have recommended this book to my writing club to enjoy and encourage all those who love cozy mysteries to try a listening to one of the books. If like me, you will not want to stop with one:)

virtual voice
I have enjoyed the storyline and that is the only reason that I have continued with the series, the virtual voice is SO distracting. If a human was reading it then I'd give it a 10 out of 10.
