Excellent end to an excellent trilogy

This was a satisfying conclusion to an excellent story full of varied characters and complex, yet grounded conflicts interspersed amid all the big world changing ones. The narrator did a great job keeping distinct voices for all the many different characters.

Worth the wait.

I normally do not write reviews. I will give stars but pass on the words. However, I will make an exception for Dragonfired.

Honestly I was afraid there wouldn't be a final book to trilogy. I am thankful I was wrong. When I saw Dragonfired was to be released, I immediately pre-ordered and waited with baited breath for the release. A few week before Dragonfired came out I re-listened to books 1 and 2 and rediscovered the joy.

Dragonfired did not let me down. Loved the final challenges, the characters and story. Doug Tisdale Jr.'s narration is excellent as always. A good narrator is a must. Thanks to J. Zachary Pike for finishing the story. I will certainly be listening to the trilogy again in the not so distant future.

wraps things up

it was good to hear about the characters again. this book took a bit to get going, but was good once it did.

More Funny Fantasy

This book isn’t as funny as the previous 2, and honestly the first is the funniest by far. It still has plenty of funny lines, but is less comedic throughout. It’s a good book, a good end to a good series, and I liked it, but I wish the whole series kept the same amount of comedic tone, pacing, and character development as the first installment. It feels like the plot improved at the cost of the series’ original strengths shining less. I think the first book read like Discworld meets Dungeons & Dragons, but this book felt more like just Dungeons & Dragons with occasional jokes. It’s good, just not exactly what I hoped for going into it.

Great conclusion of the story

I was waiting for the final installment so badly and i was not disappointed. I love this story, the economics, the racism, the romance, the creatures, all so wonderfully woven into a great story. I love all the characters and i wonder which one is my favorite. Can't come to a conclusion. I love them all. The narration is fantastic. I can only recommend the trilogy, if you love trolls, and dragons and elves and gnomes and such this is a great story to listen to.

Pratchett-esque, a masterwork.

My favourite fantasy series outside of Sir Terry's Discworld. My greatest regret that I've now finished it and will likely have to wait a few years before I inevitably will want to revisit this jewel. I laughed, I cried and more than once had to pause because I was yelling at myself in excitement.

The humor and creativity

I heavily recommend this book if you enjoy fantasy series but don’t mind some cheeky humor directed at those Sam types of stories. I’ve listened through the previous books in the series multiple times, and just finished this book as well. It now enjoys a place among my favorites.

what a conclusion

wonderful and satisfying ending for the orconomics series. great pacing and tackles complex topics with humor and lightness while still stimulating reflection. thoroughly enjoyed the series and happy i took a chance with the first book

Best of the Trilogy!

Such a good progression to this series. Each book got more funny, more clever, more biting with its social commentary.
Fantastic way to end a series.

The Trolls

I’m so glad that this series continued and sad that this is likely the end. Loved all the books and still laughing and sharing tax code humor with my family awesome entry and a must read/listen
