When Joanna sees a ghost in her kitchen, she can no longer ignore her psychic gift. To find peace, she'll need to catch a killer.

Joanna Davis never dreamed she would spend her 50’s divorced and alone in an old house, but renovating the kitchen helped her get a fresh start. As she moves on to other rooms in her house, the project takes an unexpected turn when a ghost appears. Though Joanna has been able to see and hear ghosts since she was 10, she's ignored the gift. This time, it's too much for Joanna to avoid when the ghost reveals she's from the neighborhood and the killer is still on the loose.
To reclaim her house, Joanna becomes a reluctant investigator working to find the ghost’s real killer. Can Joanna embrace her gifts to find the woman's real murderer and help them both find peace?

GHOSTLY COMMAND is the riveting first story in the Joanna Davis Mystery series. If you love ghost stories with a juicy mystery to solve, you will love this midlife cozy mystery series.

Interesting concept, but totally predictable. A portion of the story could have left out and not impacted the whole story (lots of fluff). Very much a cozy mystery with no big drama or action scenes. Just a home owner searching for the killer of the ghost who appeared in her kitchen. I did like the relationship between Joanna and her contractor.

Basic cozy ghost mystery

Cringing here with virtual voice….mispronunciations, wrong inflections, pauses where they shouldn’t be, monotone. You’re not doing this author a favor using virtual voice. On the other hand, WTHeck??? At several points in the story the author takes off on a lengthy tangent describing events totally unrelated to the story and never fully developed. Was this just to make the novel longer?

Poor inflection and misinterpretation of words were a couple of the issues with this read.

Not a fan of electronic readers!

It was worth a read. The virtual voice reading needs some work as it mispronounces words, and the editing was off because there were several sentences that didn’t read well because word tenses were improper. Still in all, a good read/listen

It was an interesting story

When I found this book I was very interested. The only problem was it was read in virtual voice. This is not a good thing to do for an audiobook. HOWEVER! If you just allow yourself to go about your day and listen while tooling around, you can ignore it.

The story was good. Had a typical cozy mystery plot. And the characters were nice. I liked the plot enough that I am going to listen to the next book. Don’t count O’Brien out just because VV is the narrator.

Good story buried under virtual voice
