Publisher's summary

Curse the Day: The only magic Emma Hart believes in is caffeine and the power of the dryer to lose one sock per load. A chance encounter lands her in Spellbound, a town where supernaturals have been cursed to remain for centuries - probably not the best time for Emma to discover that she's actually a witch. Between the recent murder of the town's public defender, a goblin accused of theft, remedial witch classes, and the attention of one smoking hot vampire, Emma struggles to navigate this unfamiliar terrain without losing her mind...or her life.

Doom and Broom: Emma Hart hasn't had a moment's peace since her arrival in Spellbound. When a werewolf is found dead and Daniel is named as the prime suspect, Emma takes the initiative to prove that the angel's halo is firmly intact. The heat is on as Emma struggles to get a grip on her broomstick and identify the killer before it's too late.

Spell's Bells: When a sleeping dwarf is found entombed in a glass coffin and remedial witch Sophie is blamed, Emma Hart must defend her friend while trying to get to the bottom of the enchantment. The investigation lands Emma smack dab in the middle of Spellbound's dating scene. Emma knows it's time to kick her witchy skills up a notch if she expects to survive Thursday night speed dating and keep sweet Sophie from a life in paranormal prison.

Very Unique

One of the best Paranormal Cozy series I’ve listened to yet. I’m having a hard time finding out if subsequent books are to follow. I certainly hope so. What a joy!! Excellent writing and narration. I want more of Emma Heart and Spellbound!!

Very Enjoyable

This is an engaging set of stories. The inner dialog that the main character has is funny, touching and seems exactly what someone her age deals with. Please don't let the reviews that cry ageism put you off. I'm over 50 and my SO is younger. We listen and enjoy these books together. Read and enjoy.

Didn't want this to end

It's such a relief when you find a series you enjoy - it means you don't have to go searching for your next read. I'm not saying this is great literature, but it's amusing and light - good things when you just want something to entertain you while you get on with life's boring chores. And the h isn't too stupid to live; not that she's the brightest spark but she doesn't make me want to slap her upside the head, so I count that as good (for a cozy). And happy day - the next book is free too 😃

I enjoyed the 3 books

I enjoyed the storyline, all the characters, and the writer’s description of the scenes. The narrator took a bit to get used too. I would recommend reading them overall.

Nice read to pass the time

You will enjoy these ditties. Nothing groundbreaking. But you will enjoy the characters and the excellent narration. It’s just that the mysteries are predictable. I’ll most likely read more of these because I enjoyed the story. It will leave a smile on your face.

Narrator had a slightly nasal tone.

The story was pretty interesting, but Emma is to well adjusted for all the events that happen to her all at once.

Entertaining but ageist

I enjoy this series, but I want to warn other middle-aged women that these books are ageist, and that may be an issue for some. Over the course of the first several books, the protagonist has felt "ill" at the sight of an older woman's nude body, has stated that being invisible (actually invisible) is what it will be like when she's older, and has voiced inner/silent contempt for a mature woman in club clothes. There is usually at least one of these kinds of comments per book. It's annoying and off-putting. Otherwise, these books are entertaining and enjoyable.

Fun Series!

Light fantasy listening. Just what I needed. I will continue with the rest of them.
