When my father passed away, I assumed my grieving would be as simple as closing a book and starting another. Only he had other plans.

Leaving me his beloved tattoo shop, I’m stuck to figure out what exactly to do with it, all while being constantly reminded of him.

Selling it was the easiest option, but after hearing some of the artists elated at the idea because they swore I’d ruin it if I took over, and reading the fine print of my father’s will, I’m determined to prove them wrong.

The only problem is Fox.

He’s arrogant, self-absorbed, and rude–doing everything in his power to show just how true their words would ring.

Unfortunately for him though, I’ve never been afraid of a challenge.

Leaving the shop to someone like Janie was a bad idea. Sure, she may be able to make it look good on the surface, but there is more to running this place than social media posts and some paint. We’re a family, and she’s not welcomed.

Only the longer she’s here, the harder it’s proving to believe my own words.

She’s too young for me, and far too complicated, but I can’t help but wonder what would happen if I just give in....

Growls age gap lumbersnack.

Sebastian York and Maxinne Mitchellwere the perfect choice for Fox and Janie. the possesive gruff lumberjack tattoo artist Fox and the young,fun and vivacious Janie were brought to life. this was my first book by DJ Krimmer and I can't wait to listen to the other guys of Hels story.

I find age gaps to be cringey sometimes, but this one never gave me the ick or that vibe. Fox and Janie were a true enemies to lovers and I loved seeing the walls comes down for them both and give into to the feelings.

Such a good story!

DJ Krimmer absolutely delivers in this story of a reluctant MMC and FMC that had to find a way to coexist in an unexpected situation. I loved Fox and Janie's story, and the performances from Sebastian York and Maxine Mitchell were on point! Every emotion was palpable, helping me stay locked in the entire time! What a great way to kick off a series and introduce great characters!

Hot hot hot!!! The tension was amazing! The banter was fantastic! And when they finally snap…. Holy hotness!

He’s a tattoo artist, she’s a social media influencer. When her dad dies, leaving his tattoo shop between the two of them, she’s suddenly in his space every day. But her dad always made it clear she was off limits.

I loved their dynamic, him so grumpy and swearing off love to protect himself, her trying to prove she’s not just a silly influencer but actually good at branding and marketing and can build her dad’s business even better than it was. She has everything to prove and he has everything to lose.

There’s lots of drama and angst. He’s very worried about the 17 yr age gap, but she surprises him every step of the way with how forward she is. There are some very steamy scenes and one than left me with my jaw on the floor!

I really enjoyed this book! Highly recommend!

And Maxine and Sebastian were fantastic! I loved the duet style for this audio and boy oh boy, no one does emotional like Maxine nor snarky like Sebastian.

If I wasn’t addicted to Hel’s Ink already, this audio just solidified the choke hold I’m in. Absolutely amazing narrators who brought this story and DJ’s writing to a whole new level! Absolutely in love with Fox and Janie!!

Emotional and Feisty

Maxine Mitchell and Sebastian York work a perfect match for these characters. From the emotions to the spice, they captured the characters well. They had more than my eyesfg watering at times. This story is a grumpy sunshine, age gap, dad’s best friend vibe. Oh and did I mention…the MMC is not only tattooed but works at a tattoo place!!

This book has some heavy content but if you feel like this story is for you then enjoy the ride you are about to go on with Maxine, Sebastian and DJ Krimmer!
