Interesting but Inadequate Attempt

The novel tries really hard to terrify and use the legend of the Windigo in ways that should be very scary. Yet, the plot tries way too hard to add horrific elements that just don’t fit the storyline. So much of the story is forced and the author just crams details into the story in an effort to shock and horrify but demonstrates he isn’t talented enough to craft a smoothly evolving plot. Overall, it’s like a tale from someone in a state of mania. The bare bones of this story has potential, but it needs to be reworked greatly to be enjoyable. As it is, it takes a hard plodding effort to keep listening to the end.

Not a fan of the computer voice. It was a good story. Something to listen to when I couldn’t sleep.
