Seamlessly weaving her own experiences into each topic, she provides analogies that resonate deeply with how our minds operate and gives incredible perspectives that most people miss completely. This is the book I wish I had started with — it’s a great mix of her personal experience, descriptions from her ADHD coaching clients, and practical, useful action steps presented as lists of options to try.
I also loved the structure of stand alone chapters covering various areas — makes it so easy to go back and review topics of greater interest.
My only complaint is that the reading speed was a bit slow — I almost always listen to audiobooks at regular (1x) speed but had to increase this to 1.2 to make it tolerable.
Practical and empowering!

This book is just what I needed. I have listened to many books, worked with therapists and psychiatrists, and have frankly invested significant time and money into finding the best strategies to manage ADHD for myself and my two middle school boys. This book is by far the best investment you can make if you’re also looking to develop a better understanding of ADHD and find immediately actionable strategies you can leverage to be at your best, and make it work within your home and work life.
I tell people all the time that ADHD can be a super power when well managed, and Meredith has provided relatable ways to implement all the best strategies I have learned over the years, and more!
