Enjoyable More of the Same

To start, I love the Planet Money podcast. I am a long time listener to the program. I've learned so much over the years. With that said, so much I've already learned is found within the pages of this book. I didn't expect the chapters would consist of material from so many existing Planet Money episodes. When they announced they were writing a book, to me it meant all new material. And I will admit there is content I've never heard before. But there is a lot of old content too. A lot. But overall, I am happy to support Planet Money and NPR. They provide an excellent service and very educational programming.

Enjoyable and Uncomplicating Tour of the Economy

If you are a listener of the podcast Planet Money, you can expect all the familiar voices giving both a more streamline and expanded take on many of the familiar podcasts. If you are expecting all new material from the podcasts, it is not, but it is a well curated walkthrough of some of their best.

If you have never listed to Planet Money, this is a great book to welcome you into some of the biggest topics influencing the economy. It hits on many things you may not have thought about and shows you how you can see them in your daily life. As far as the performance goes, they are all professional podcasters and it shows. It is clear, paced well, and includes a variety of voices. It is one of the few (of over a thousand books) that I listened to without speeding it up.

Repetitive

It included too much of Planet Money previous episodes. It was segmented and did not include a central thread
