There a gigantic Heart in the story. It's very powerful and packs a solid message .
It's not just a Hero and Heroine loving each other , it's about building each other up. Holding them close when they're falling apart, and giving each other tiny pieces of their souls . Not in Grand gestures like taking a bullet for them or abandoning their careers , but small sensitive things, like humming their favorite song, cooking a simple meal for them, holding their hands when they're down. Picnics and stolen kisses , embracing the scars and kissing the hurts.
I loved Decker who made my heart race and thighs tremble !

Wow wow wow!

Thank you, Pam Godwin, for this amazing audio of Incentive. The voice casting was perfect. I laughed, cried, and melted in my seat. I'm not ashamed to say I devoured it! No one does dark and seductive like Godwin!

Meet Decker as he hits the end of his rope, to a place where so many people end up. To try to get his life back on track, he signs a year of his life away with Infidelity, with no idea what to expect. All he wants is to get to the other side with his money to start rebuilding his life again, but things take a turn when he comes face to face with the chase of a lifetime.

I loved Laynee and Decker. I love their story and their relationship from beginning to end. The story was steamy and filled with passion but also touched on very real-life struggles that hit me hard. I felt for these characters. I found myself cheering for them and wanting them to succeed. A must-listen for 2024!

A short story with a huge emotional impact.

Starting out I expected this book to be a erotic, spicy, and seductive but what we got was so much more. There is a huge emotional impact told in these pages.

Two people, both broken and afraid to trust someone else due to their past, coming together, building that trust back up, and finding themselves along the way.

The way in which they meet is unconventional to say the least, but it was such a unique reading experience. I'm such a fan of Pam's writing, and having read multiple books by here, she really can do it all. Her words and her stories hit so much deeper than you expect and I love that.

I listened to the audio and really enjoyed it. If you're looking for a quick read about a Hollywood star who appears to have everything, and a younger man at rock bottom with seemingly nothing to offer her, this is the book for you.

There are triggers, so if that's something you need to be mindful of, check those first.

Light & Steamy

This was significantly lighter fair than we typically get from Pam. It was one of her backlist titles I hadn't got around to reading yet, so when I saw this audio, I jumped at the chance! Incentive follows Laynee, a Hollywood actress, and Decker, a down but not out, man who is looking for anything to get him back on his feet. While the story itself was relatively light compared to what I'm used to from PG, there were pieces of history from both Decker's and Laynee's pasts that were tough to hear.

This book was set in Aleatha Romig's Infidelity world and I'm intrigued to know more about it so *adds to TBR*

In regards to the narration, Alexander Cendese absolutely NAILED it as Decker. Everything was super spot on and when he was narrating other side characters, the voice change was dramatic and he added flair to the story. Grace Grant wasn't my favourite female narrator - it took a little bit of time for me to get into her narration as Laynee - but she grew on me by the end.

This was a super fast and steamy listen - If you're in the mood for little to no angst, a protective MMC, and some insta-love, definitely think of picking this one up!
