Yes yes yes and yes. And yes. So hot and angsty. Erotic narration requires so much inflection and grit. This is perfection. Audible why do you not have more Pam Godwin books available. Straight up pissed at audible. I knew I liked her work but her unfailing consistency makes her my favorite author. Bar none.

Great book

Awesome book! Really enjoyed the love story and the whole mystery of everything. I love this author. And the narration was impeccable!

I must say that this is the was a hard book to read and listen to, I shed tears it never gave up because i know this book was worth it in the end. I’m not going to lie this book is full of emotions and can be anyone’s life. I was so drawn to the characters and their bond with each other. They looked after each other even when it didn’t seem that way. I must admit that Jake, Jarret and Lorne took care of business in a way that was fitting. I’m looking forward to when they will all be as one again. For now I Jake is incredible he is a fighter and will go to hell and back to protect Connor, even from her own demons. As for Connor herself, she is a fighter in her own right and her love is strong for Jake and her family ( Jarret and Lorne). Together the both of them share a love that goes so deep no one can break their bond.

Wow! what an emotional journey

Pam does it again! This was a story of young love destroyed by the brutal ugliness of the world. Their lives shattered and torn apart. Years lost, family torn at the seams. The journey to healing, acceptance, revenge, justice and a love reborn. This book contains triggers but it just so awesome, I will be reading it again. Tad Branson absolutely KILLED it. His performance was so passionate and moving. oh my goodness!

Oh My Pam Godwin!

Pam Godwin is a god(ess) among authors. I wish Audible and Oh My Audiobooks would offer all of her books - each one is amazing in its own way. The sheer depth of emotion she is able to convey in her characters makes her virtually without equal. Her ability to describe the nuance of each character's experiences is spellbinding - from agony to ecstasy. And yes, she most certainly excels with the 'ecstasy' parts (wink, wink).

This was definitely a dark romance. I think I would have loved to see Conor save herself then rely on Jake. I just wanted her to be strong on her own versus needing him to help her through it. This is nothing in the author writing, Pam is an excellent writer, this is simply my own opinion on the matter.

Deep, Dark and Sensual

From start to finish, this book immerses you in a dark, painful and dangerous place. I rarely cry in audiobooks, but within 10 minutes, the emotion was so real. I was hooked.

The incredible lows are met with amazing highs that are so oustandingly sexy. The cowboy dances with his girl and the description will knock your socks off, just the dance. When things get hotter... oh boy. Pam Godwin does not hold back.

Ted Branson was the cowboy that was MEANT to be. His drawl and his slow lilt when it was called for had me melting in my seat and begging for more. Savannah Peachwood was strong and powerful in a role that was so deeply painful and horrible. It can’t have been easy and she was absolutely stunning in this performance.

I loved this!!

Pam Godwin brought this story to life and made me feel everything that was happening! I was so upset with the move and how hurt Conor was but as the story continued and I found out everything that happened and was happening... it got better and better!!
I love Tad Branson! This is my first listen for Savannah Peachwood, and she is awesome!!!

Well Rounded Story. Worth the Credit.

I finished this story quickly and thought about it when I was not able to listen to it. It made me sad, angry, hot and bothered and happy. The narrators were male and female and read the chapters of the male and female main characters. The only negative and I doubt it really can be helped, is that when the male narrator had to do the voice of a female it was pretty awkward sounding. If you were able to get past that and I was, it was great. The narrators were perfect for their respective gender.
