Good …

But not great? So much of the story is told outside of dialogue it drags at times. I realize it’s difficult to convey historical events without expository narration, but it just felt slow and a bit monotonous at times.

The narrator was flat

I love Allen Eakins’ books, however, had it been any other writer I would have heard a few pages and gone on to a book with much better narration.

Not my favorite

Huge Allen Eskins fan. Didn’t think twice about ordering this when I heard a new book was released. I’m also a fan of historical fiction. This one just didn’t measure up for me.. I might have enjoyed it more if I had read it as the narrator was truly not good at all.

Unlike any other Allen Eskens book

A very interesting book and I learned alot from it that I didn't know about the Bosnian war

Phenomenal listen!

Eskens never disappoints. Absolutely a well written and captivating book. Highly recommend. The accent initially made it difficult to follow the characters, but they came to life after a few chapters.
