As entrepreneurs, and as humans in general, we have all experienced our fair share of breakdowns. These moments are universal and we share similar feelings of doubt and fear. We may ask ourselves, “Should I even be doing this?” “Would it be easier to just stop?” or, “Do I even have anything to say?”

All of these things can spiral around our heads. I’ve come to learn that it’s important to embrace our vulnerability and see our failures as learning experiences rather than letting them shut us down. We can actually use these breakdowns as opportunities for growth.

If you’re feeling a moment of breakdown, here are some tips to help you navigate these times: find a safe place for communication, whether it’s with a person or in your journal, practice self-care, break down your goals, and celebrate the things you’ve already accomplished.

Breakdowns are inevitable. They are going to happen, but remember that you aren’t defined by your breakdown. You’re defined by what you do during those breakdowns and the breakthroughs that come after them. You will end up finding yourself stronger on the other side.
