Publisher's summary

I’ve made myself into many things over the years. A Yale graduate. A brilliant corporate strategist. A city boy. And, though no one outside my inner circle knows it, a billionaire.

One thing I never expected to be? Accidentally married to a straight, small-town cowboy named Waylon, the pride and joy of… *checks notes*... Majestic, Wyoming.

Sadly, what happens in Vegas does not, in fact, stay in Vegas, and before I know it, I’m trying to track my erstwhile husband down, divorce papers in hand and thrift store clothes on my back, desperately hoping the stranger I married won’t realize he’s suddenly entitled to a lot more than that shiny gold ring on his finger.

Unfortunately, Way has other plans.

His town is counting on him as mayor to bring the lucrative AdventureSmash wilderness race to Majestic, and he refuses to sign my papers until the deal is done… which means me and my second-hand blue jeans will be hanging around a lot longer than I’d imagined, pretending our one-night whatever-it-was was a love match for the ages.

As it turns out, Majestic is more charming than I’d expected, and Way… is not entirely without charms himself. It also turns out he’s, ahem, not as straight as he thought he was.

Before I know it, dusty boots feel more comfortable than my shiny wingtips, coffee at the Love Muffin tastes better than Starbucks, and being the First Husband of Majestic starts to seem as important as any corporate merger I’ve ever negotiated.

But for a man with secrets to keep and a whole life waiting for him back in Manhattan, the only thing worse than Marrying Mr. Majestic… would be falling in love with him for real.

Sweet, fresh storyline.

Just the right amount of angst, likable MCs. Michael Dean is the (chef’s kiss) perfect narrator.

Good story. Good narration.

The drunk marriage in Las Vegas isn't my favorite trope. I was married in Las Vegas, I know how it actually works. This is a Lucy Lennox story though, and I needed some light-hearted romance with improbable situations. I was willing to overlook the not-quite-accurate because I was dreadfully curious to see how the main characters would work through their unusual arrangement. I was rewarded for my suspension of disbelief.

Silas and Way are both charming characters. I was looking for a charming, sappy love story, and I got exactly what I wanted. The representation of Wyoming was well done. I am picky about Wyoming cowboy stories since I grew up next door. I smiled when Silas noted that Way was wearing a ball cap while he was working. That was a nice touch of reality.

The entire story was a pleasure to listen to. I enjoy Michael Dean's voice and wonderful performance. The rhythm of Lucy Lennox's writing is conducive to a soothing and engaging story. The book wraps up nicely, but the groundwork has been set for a possible series that I will be watching for.

Wonderfully Majestic Story

I love this trope - waking up married and have to say Lucy tells Silas and Ways story best! These two men have so much going on with trying to keep all the balls in the air without letting anyone down. U adore Way and Silas is just too great. When the time hits and these two crash together; it’s so worth the wait. I appreciate this story, as I truly didn’t expect it! Two men who both work hard but are truly from different worlds… they just work together perfectly.

Everything I love about Lucy Lennox

This is everything I want from a Lucy Lennox novel. This is why I fell in love with the Made Marian Series. The MC’s are both lovable and sweet. The romance buds under extraordinary circumstances but both main characters are just amazing men. I love the slow burn and just all of the feels. 5 stars! And Michael Dean is wonderful as always.
