She's hiding a story. He's writing their destiny.
I never thought I'd look for a woman in a strip club until I laid eyes on her—a redhead with a story. Her eyes weren't just sad; they were screaming for a way out. I could tell she didn't belong there. She's definitely hiding secrets, wrapped in pain, and I couldn't look away.
When I saw some sloshed goon getting handsy with her, refusing to take a hint, I knew I had to protect her. Reaching out to help her felt like the only decent thing to do. I offered her a place to stay and a lead on a new gig—but it wasn't just her. Her kid, Sophie, with those wide, scared eyes—they got to me.
When her past catches up, threatening everything she holds dear, I find myself stepping into a role I never expected. Protecting her becomes more than duty.
This woman may be the death of me… but for her, I'm willing to go down.
Maverick is the third installment in the gripping Steel Demons MC series. Get ready for rugged bikers, forbidden desires, and irresistible allure. While each book in the series offers a standalone happily ever after for the couple, listen to them in order for maximum enjoyment.

The third book I would rate between a four and a five star. Because I did not find our leading male to be very nice in the beginning. He seemed rather cold and a bit standoffish.
I understand Maverick’s importance of protecting his grandmother, but the way he went about it seemed awkward, especially since he and his biker club helped tons of other people in the past. Just saying.
Our leading female grace, a.k.a. Ruby seems to be a very sweet character, but extremely naïve, and a typical woman who goes back to a battered husband. This part of the story did not make much sense to me because she could have gone to the police and left her hubby but chose not to. I can’t feel sorry for someone that chooses that path.
I’m glad these two star cross lovers, collided and as their story unfolded, I did fall in love with each of them individually as well as a couple and yes, I was rooting for them.
Another part of the story that didn’t make any sense is when Grace kept asking Maverick to look out for her child if something happened to her I thought this was a bit presumptuous, since they just met!
Also a few weird writing holes like why wasn’t her kid wasn’t in school and how could she have kept the kid out of school for almost a year?
I guess if the writer is going to bother writing these details, they have to make sense. Otherwise simply omit them from the story and don’t create a child to add to the mix.
Again, it’s a fun book filled with thrilling moments, smooth drama without crazy angst, beautiful romance, and of course, white hot lovin! Melt!
