It's Okay

I'm a romance person and personally, I didn't find this romantic like other readers. The male character is insufferable and in most cases is abusive rather than romantic.
But the story itself is good and the side characters have good development. But if I had the choice again, I wouldn't purchase this series unless it was on sale. I will purchase book 3 as I do not like leaving a story unfinished

I wish I could listen to 102929 hours of it. Such a good story. The main male character is chefs kiss. Maxie is great but silly.

I am enjoying the series. Little bit slow with the action, but I care about the characters and am hoping for more battles and monsters in future books of the series.
