Carter Morgan III hates everything about South Carolina University except for one thing: hockey.

As the starting netminder for the team, he lives for those moments when he can step onto the ice and between the pipes. Unfortunately, his time at school and on the team is slowly coming to an end. Although he'd love nothing more than to pursue a career in the NHL, he knows better than to get his hopes up.

Zeke Cassidy needs a place to live. When he answers an advertisement for a roommate, he's not sure what he is expecting except that it isn't Carter Morgan III. Carter is unfriendly and aloof, and they have nothing in common. Even so, the pair hit it off immediately and become friends.

Carter knows Zeke isn't interested in being anything beyond friends and roommates. Unfortunately, knowing this doesn't stop him from hoping for more, no matter how much he tries to convince himself it's impossible.

Great read

I love this book it’s so sweet and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series

I really enjoyed this book. Just a sweet story and looking forward to the next in series. So happy I stumbled across this story.

Sweet college romance

This was very sweet. A grumpy/sunshine roommates to lovers with demi and bi rep. I’m not demi but felt like it was handled with care while creating a really sweet slow burn. Perfect if you’re in the mood for something low angst.

The narrators were both great, although it took me a couple of chapters to adjust to how differently they voiced the characters.

The audiobook is great!

Recommend for a cozy evening.

The only issue is with pacing. It felt like a few weeks passed but it was months! Months!!

These two right here!

They are the cutest couple. Even when they weren’t a couple. I couldn’t stop kicking my feet and giggling. I even laughed out loud. It was so wholesome and cutsie. I loved the dynamic between Zeke and Carter. This is definitely a slow burn and I didn’t mind at all. I was so sad when it was over. Everyone needs a friend like Jefferson. The author gave us just enough about side characters that had me hoping the next book would be about Max. I’ve already started book 2.
