Not your typical retelling!!

This is not your typical Peter Pan retelling! This is dark! Peter is Hook and Hook is Peter!! Man has so many twists and turns. I love all the characters and different parts of the story that surprised me. What you thought you knew throw it out the window when you start this! Tink is a twat and evil and Tiger Lily is in cahoots with her…this was a roller coaster and I didn’t want to get off! I can’t wait for more!!

Best version of the Story

I loved this so much! This is my favorite version Petter Pan and Wendy.

Holy Crap different way to listen to Peter and Wendy. Really didn't like the bounceing back and forth from 17 yrs and present. Narrator's were awesome. I loved Joe in The butcher and black bird.His voice is so sexy. Very different look that Peter turned into Hook. Seeing Peter has always fought Hook in Disney. Really different. This book was a great read. Thinkerbell was a real witch. So devious. Can't wait til book 2.

Spice was great, story was good, performance was immaculate!

how the author wrote tink was probably my favorite and how Maxine performed her was absolutely perfect.

Losing Neverland

Losing Neverland is a Peter Pan retelling with a twist.
This has to be my favorite Peter Pan retelling ever!! It's dark and twisted and not at all what you would expect.
The way Peter loved Wendy... my heart melted. Pan could switch from being so sweet and loving to dirty talking and filthy mouthed in the same breath. His character is so layered but so well done!!!
I loved Wendy! When she pushed Pan away to protect him, I was literally sobbing. They had such a strong, tension filled connection. I love the concept of Pan being both Peter and Hook and Tinker Bell being a villain. It's such a unique twist on this whole tale.
And don't get me started on Jake. Because how dare he lay a finger on poor, sweet Nana.
This retelling was everything. 5 stars, hands down.
Now, I listened to the audio version of this story and let me tell you... if you've ever listened to Joe Arden before, you know how talented he is! Joe and Maxine might be my new favorite narrator duo. They suited each other so perfectly. His Pan and Hook transitions were amazing. Literally sent chills down my spine! And the way Maxine was able to capture Wendy's giggly, bubbly, persona was fantastic. She really did Wendy justice! Trust me when I say, audio is the way to go here!!
