Oh wow

This is one of those books that make you take breaks in betweenI swear the amount of times I’ve had to pause and just BREATHE is ridiculous! 🥵🥵🥵

don't be fooled

women, don't be fooled. This is a romance series about gay men. Just skip over any indecent scenes, for those of us who are straight. But it is a really good story. This is the first Cora Rose book I've come across. Not for me, but her writing is talented.

Zane's narration was amazing, it was very entertaining hearing him go from sweet but unhinged to possessive and very extra to unstable but adorable 😆 he really shows all the emotions and different personalities of the characters perfectly


we're following Antony who we've seen mentioned in other books (he's the father of Diablo from the Unexpected series) and Tatum who we see in Ben's book also from the Unexpected series

Anthony is a mafia boss and Tatum is his son's best friend who's been openly showing how attracted he is to him even though Anthony's straight

after a violent incident that leaves Tatum hurt and vulnerable Anthony's need to protect him grows, going on full touch-him-and-die mode and breaking down the lock he has on his own feelings 🥹

there's a lot going on in this book, preparing us for what's to come in the series with a good balance of plot and spicy romance, with a lot of humor but also darkish and stabby moments 🔥🫠

This was an interesting story and I love the side characters, Bane especially, and a little bit of Victor.
