In a world ruled by immortals, her only hope may lie in the heart of their darkest prince.

When my sister Belle goes missing, I venture deep into the cursed woods to find her. Ruthless vampires rule over our kingdom, and I’m terrified she’s been murdered like so many others.

As I’m searching, I’m caught by the worst immortal of them all: Prince Cassius, dark Lord of the Bloodvale. I barely escape with my life, and the memory of his cruel beauty haunts me. So does the thought that Belle might be in his castle.

When I join the mortal resistance, I get the chance to infiltrate his stronghold. I’ll find Belle and fight the vampires from within. It’s not easy. I’m worked to the bone by a pair of wicked sisters and danger abounds, but the secrets I discover are worth it.

The castle is filled with magic… and so am I.

I’ll have to keep my mission and power hidden if I want to survive, but the prince’s stormy gaze follows me everywhere. When he chooses me as his personal servant, can I hide the truth? Or will the magnetic pull between us drag me to my doom?

Reign of Cinders and Glass is a standalone Cinderella romantasy with vampires, a dark prince, and a powerful heroine who will endure any risk to save the people she loves. Prepare for action, danger, and a steamy romance with a HEA.

This adult Cinderella retelling includes: a strong heroine with a secret power, a brooding vampire prince who is obsessed with the heroine, touch her and die, enemies to lovers, a one-horse moment, found family, discovery of magic, as well as Cinderella favorites: a masquerade ball, a handsome prince, wicked vampire sisters, devoted animal friends, a (tipsy) fairy godmother, and, of course, a Happily Ever After.

I enjoyed the retelling. The characters and development were great. I enjoyed the entire book. I didn’t love the voice of the MMC. That was my only complaint.

Very enjoyable read.

The story was good and the female narrator did a great job. Her voices for alternate characters were great. The male narrator was such a bad fit for this story. I’m sure he’s great for other stories, but yikes! I almost stopped listening over a dozen times because it was so mismatched that it made it impossible to enjoy the story. Honestly, I found the female narrator’s voice for the MMC more enjoyable. I think this audiobook had great potential, but ended up being a difficult listen. I would recommend reading it instead.

Constructive criticism

Loved the story. It would have been even better without the male narrator. He was awful! He read the characters like he was reading Winnie the Pooh instead of a romance. The story and the female narrator was the only thing that kept me going.

Great story, bad acting

I was drawn in from the very first chapter! I couldn’t wait to know what happened next! It set the bar for a 5 star read!

This reminded me of what a 5 star read is!!!

The story was good, fairly well written and engaging from the beginning. The female narrator was not bad, just not great. The male narrator? Beyond horrid. I have listened to literally hundreds of audio books, and have not heard anyone this bad. I am so glad I got the Kindle version as well, or I would have never known how good the story was. At points when he was supposed to be forceful or angry, he sounded like a bad cartoon villain, which totally degraded the entire story. I read most of the book. Hopefully Belle's story will be narrated by 2 different people as I prefer to listen. If you can ignore super bad narration, the book is worth reading. If not, get the Kindle or hard copy. I do recommend the book, just not the narrators. And if you're looking for Spice, this isn't it, though there are a few scenes that are a half 🌶.
Overall an interesting vampiric, magical take on Cinderella.

Great story...Horrid narration
