A sunny bridesmaid-for-hire and a grumpy best man put love to the test in this laugh-out-loud romantic comedy.

Meet Randi Burnett—she’s brilliant, she’s beautiful, and she works for the bride. Missing groom? Intoxicated in-laws? Crying ring-bearer? You name it, she wrangles it. Too bad her personal life isn’t thriving like her side gig as a bridesmaid for hire. Recently dumped, Randi throws herself into her biggest challenge yet when she’s hired as a maid of honor and pretend best friend for an ice queen bride. There’s just one problem—the best man is infuriating, overprotective, and anti-marriage.

High school principal Will Valentine doesn’t believe in love. But his best friend is getting married after a whirlwind romance and has asked him to be the best man. So here he is, a man named for the patron saint of lovers, who doesn’t believe in the institution of marriage yet is somehow color coordinating for the event. No one is more surprised than Will when he starts falling for the bubbly and vivacious maid of honor who loves all things love, but strangely doesn’t seem to know the bride all that well.

But what happens when he discovers Randi’s undercover identity? What begins as a battle of wills between the two soon turns into a flirtatious game. Between cake tastings and dress fittings, will these two opposites find their own once-in-a-lifetime love?

This is not an LGBTQ romance exactly. But almost every character would identify as LGBTQ. If that bothers you, leave this one. The story was fine, but it felt a little like indoctrination.

Very LGBTQ forward

Normally this is right up my alley, but I really struggled to root for these MCs. Both are incredibly self centered, but at least the MMC had an arc. We got to learn why he thinks the way he does and see him grow past his hang ups. The FMC was just an egocentric disaster. Made everything about her and her feelings and lacked any character arc. Never apologized for her behavior, just cried and got her way. I’ve never disliked a character I was supposed to like so much.

Cute Idea…but Annoying

A delightful twist on (kinda) enemies to lovers.
Relatable characters who you can’t help but root for.

Yay for wedding “floof”!

A glimpse into snowflaketopia where everyone is super sensitive, there is a lot of needless crying and a guy fainting during a yoga class, lots of hurt feelings over ‘insensitive’ parents who dared to live lives that their self centered children didn’t approve off. As someone in my 50’s I find these characters so cringy and self absorbed that I almost enjoy it. The characters are interesting, the couple are both bisexual, the female main character is over weight, her best friend is married to a woman, the other bestie, despite being in a wheelchair met her husband in Paris and eloped. This coursed our main girl a lot of agony as she imagined herself looking gorgeous walking drown the isle while her friend trails behind her in her wheelchair? I think the author could have done a lot more with her characters and their backgrounds rather than to only mention that they are not your normal ground but then continue with the story as if their is nothing special or different about them…. I think this story will have a very different appeal depending on the audience.

Could be interesting characters

Both seemed way too forced. His too “I’m trying to be aloof-sexy”, hers irritatingly simpering and breathy.
