One guest. One room. One twisted secret.

After her husband’s sudden death, Kaitlyn Harper is barely hanging on. Grieving, isolated, and drowning in bills, she makes a desperate choice—rent out the guest room of the house they once shared.

Rayne Miller seems perfect: quiet, respectful, pays in cash. But as soon as she moves in, strange things start happening. A shattered photo. A door left open. Anonymous texts that say things only her husband could have known.

Rayne isn’t just a tenant.
She’s a woman with unfinished business.
And the closer Kaitlyn gets to the truth, the more she begins to question everything—her husband’s past, her own memories, and whether the greatest threat has already found its way inside.

In this chilling domestic thriller, the line between paranoia and reality isn’t just blurred—it’s broken.

It’s hard to follow without thinking my phone has gone back due to how repetitive this book is. It makes me not want to finish but I’m too far in not to now.

Repetitive

I'm not sure why this got good reviews, I gave up at chapter 4. The main character is a paranoid wackjob. Everything the other woman does is suspicious to her. Extremely unbelievable, no normal person would think and act this way after knowing someone for half a day. Just bizarre.

I felt like the timeline didn’t quite align throughout the story. The AI voice doesn’t bother me, but I feel like the story itself had inconsistent timeline changes. Maybe I just needed to listen closer, but I’m pretty sure there were a few differences

Odd timeline

not much of a story-there was zero backstory given and way too much repetitiveness

the repetitiveness

it is repetitive., it is painfully boring. I think not only the voice is AI, but the story it self seems to be AI generated. It doesn't feel natural.

this book is torture
