You will start your fall into love with Alex Grant in this story. This is a beautifully written, suspenseful, unpredictable and incredible story.
I highly recommend it.

Horrible Narrartor

Paul Woodson is terribly difficult to listen to. If not for the great story could not have listened. Thankfully this narrator will not be doing most of this series. I love the Grants.

What a horrible story!!!

This was awful! The characters had ZERO depth and were made to sound like idiots.
There was no story whatsoever. Just a lot of word salad about how the female could handle pain because her stepbrother was abusing her so she learned to stifle screams of pain?! And the male character sounded like a dumb buffoon who didn’t know how to woo a woman. He was made to sound like a brooding sex-deprived male that had zero to offer anyone except his “large” member.
I swear .. the story is set at a 3rd grade comprehension level and has no right to be labeled as a romance, historical or otherwise!

OMG

At first I thought maybe the narrator was the problem, but no. It’s the actual story. I genuinely have no words for how bad this was. The writing and plot felt so immature that I kept wondering how old the author was when they wrote it. I really wanted to find something to enjoy, but this just did not work for me at all.

Narration Made it Impossible

I don’t know if the story was good or not as I could not get past the narrator even in chapter 1. I am positive the narrator is good for some genre just not this one.
